I'm bored with my back workout lately. Any suggestions of some of your favorite routines, I want to switch mine up.

Pre-exhaust with machine pullovers, one arm dumbell rows, low pulley row, pulldown to front, smith deadlifts.
I love drop sets. Use them sparingly with pullovers, pulley rows, and pulldown to front.

pull ups, pull ups, pull ups, weighted pull ups, and more pull ups, close grip, wide grip, reveerse grip, medium grip. LEave the machines for then end when you can't even do one more regular pull up. Then put the machine on like 2/3rds your bodyweight and do more sets there with pull down to front and back thing.

I start every back workout with pullups and follow that with barbell rows. After that I usually switch up my other exercises.

Do you do weighted pull ups. Also really heavy deadlifts do amazing things for your posture and overall thickness of the entire back. They;re also really fun. You get the whole gym watching you. Its the excercise you should be able to go the heaviest on. If your looking for something new this alone will be all you need. They are really tough.

If you want a big back, start with chins...leave the pulldowns for other people. Vary the grip each week you do them to hit more fibers.

Next do a bent over row with a varying grip as well.

Lastly do deadlifts untill your back is sore as all get out. Work up to a heavier single every other week.

I then flush some blood into the muscles with some stiff arm pullovers or some close-grip pulldowns.

Anything you can do to make an exercise harder is better for you....Stay away from the pulldowns and do chins!

MANY PEOPLE USE TOO MUCH BICEP IN THEIR BACK EXCERSISES. USALLY DUE TO POOR FORM OR LACK OF MIND MUSCLE CONNECTION. U MUST LEARN TO PULL THE WIEGHT WITH YOUR BACK AND TO USE AS LITTLE BICEPS AS POSSIBLE(NO MATTER WHAT U WILL HIT BIS BUT THEY SHOULD NOT BE HIT HARDER THAN UR BACK.) I BELIEVE UR BACK WILL RESPOND TO COMPOUND MOVEMENTS IN A STICT FASHION. FORM IS EVERYTHING THE WIEGHT WILL COME....
