I'm giving it a whirl this time around. Taking things much slower and really foccusing on muscle preservation and fine tuning every little detail. I'm anxiuos to see how this works but I'm going to have to wait...well...16 weeks. Seems long and harsh but I am stricter with my diet than anyone on this planet(guaranteed) and honestly I like cutting far more than bulking. Anyone with experience preparing like this? Results? I'm hoping the slower pace, as oppsoed to 10-12 weeks, will allow for more fine tuning and overall better mass and a fuller appearance. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It depends on where your body composition is. I think that 16 weeks is fine as it will give you time to really suck down and then increase calories the last couple of weeks for the fuller appearance. It also gives you time to practice the carb-load and depletion. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Beezers, I'm with you. I would much rather diet down than try to stuff 6,000 calories down my throat all day, everyday. I am going to start 16 weeks out this time around too. February 10th is the day. How much cardio do you plan to do? Also, how do you intend to manipulate your caloric intake throughout the 16 weeks? -TG ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hope this helps. I used to start dieting from three hundred down to two sixty contest over a period of fourteen to sixteen weeks. Only start cleaning out your diet around this time, not so much cutting your calories. Start up on the cardio but clean out the junk food and cheeseburgers. You need to be full fledge into your diet by eleven to twelve weeks depending on your metabolism. good luck Waltman s ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Shadow...You hit my goal on the head. I would like to acheive peak physique 3-4 weeks out and then have time to fill out with calorie and carb manipulation. The point of the longer duration is to keep my calorie level higher to keep the muscles fuller and hopefully create the optimal environment to preserve the mass. Ghost...Cardio 5 days a week. 3 intense days in which I walk on the treadmill for 60min in the morning prior to meal one. Nothing too brutal...just enough to elvate the heart rate and get the calories burning. The two other cardio days are 20min following my lift on those days. These days will be on the stair mill machine which is far more intense than walking but it's for only twenty minutes. This really pumps the heart rate up and gets the calories burning post lift when glycogen is low. I'm just doing enough to utilize some extra calories and free up the fat stores. This will allow me to keep calories a bit higher to feed the muscles. Calories will be adjusted accordingly to the scale and body composition. If I'm loosing too quickly or getting too flat I will up the carbs thus upping calories. If no progress is being made then I will slowly cut calories until changes begin. I'm starting out at 3000 cals a day and I will judge from there. The first four weeks i'm only bridging with primoB at 200mg/wk. 12 weeks out I will hit my cutting cycle which is primoteston 500/wk weeks 12-2 and 400/wk EQ weeks 12-0(800mg the final two weeks). ECA three weeks on one weeks off throughout and t-3 the final four weeks pyramiding. We'll see how it goes. It's really an experiment for me and I should learn a lot about my body these 16 weeks. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
