R.I.P. Paul. I just learned about him since I have started reading pump magazine. I even bought his book "The Stack". He seemed very knowledgeable. My prayers are with his family!

Where did you find this info? I had the pleasure of hearing one of his lectures last year in California. He was in a lot of pain at the time and obviously on high doses of pain meds. An inspiring man indeed...

This is a stretch for my memory but I think it was a broken back??? Someone please correct me if that's not right. I know he spent some months in the hospital and lost a lot of weight (like 100lbs.) then battled to gain it back. This was a few years ago.

yes paul was thrown out a window by kerry kayes & co and broke his back he had a titanium vertbre put in so he used morphine for the pain

In case anyone's interested, I found this on the Nuclear Nutrition site: Date: January 30, 2001 06:56 PM FOr those of you interested in knowing....looks like the final proof of what I claimed Paul was all about was just delivered..here is the email I received today: Borresen was found dead 4.00pm this afternoon, suspected overdose.... Carol couldn't wake him this morning he was groggy, then went back and she still couldn't get him to fully wake up...Went back at 4.00pm and he was dead... Police cordoned off the area, helicopters the lot...They raided the house, hard drugs were found.... He was playing with a can of CS gas yesterday and it went off...He inhaled a lot of the fumes, not sure whether that's what caused it or not...

However the man died I feel sorry for his family and friends. I suppose he and Duchaine are arguing somewhere right now. My best wishes to his friends and family.

Wow, that is real bad news to wake up to this morning. Paul was into some cutting edge stuff. I remember he was running a temperature of about 102 degrees once at a seminar he was doing with Kerry Kayes when they where together a few years back now. He was testing a new product that raised your metabolism massively. Trouble was he had to keep running off every 10 minutes to check his temp so that he didnt overheat, and you should have seen the number of cans of Pepsi he got through! Its a big loss, condolences to family and friends.

This is indeed sad news and I hope that it's gets more than 19 lousy posts. I truly felt that this guy was a passionate bodybuilder who loved the sport as much as anyone could. I am saddened by this news very much. I didn't know the guy, but he seemed as if he would go out of his way to help people. I understand that he was always in considerable back pain and some say he had to take a lot of morphine for it. I wouldn't speculate myself as to why he died. He wasn't exactly the voice of reason when it came to drugs or dosages so nothing would surprise me as he did seem fearless. A lot of people did not like the guy, and I don't know why he has had fallouts with people because I don't know much about him, but he was definitely an iron brother who cared for the sport. He knew a lot about shit that you just can't make up on all kinds of drugs so degrees or not, (and I don't know whether he had real degrees and don't care either) he was knowledgeable. Quite extreme, but knowledgable. A lot of people had said that he was "playing with a can of CS gas and inhaled a lot of the fumes," but this has been dismissed on many boards as an agent that would not kill you, and I doubt his death was from roid abuse. More likely narcotics or pain killers, but I must say again I don't know anything about the situation and am just guessing that it had to be drug related somehow. Regardless, this made me very sad to hear about it, and I couldn't stop thinking about it all day. I'm not too emotional of a guy, but this man seemed like he has had his fair share of troubles and was overcoming them, and was aspiring to do so much. I will miss him, and feel greatly for his family. I think he had a wife named Carol, and a little boy named Kane. They're definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace brother!

It seems like he had his fair share of troubles. Although I don't know that much about Paul, he seems to have gained wide spread respect. It is obvious that he will be sorely missed and my condolences go out to those who were close to him. ------------------
