I THINK MUSCLER DYSTROPHY AND MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS ARE MUSCULER DISEASES. SO DO DOCTORS PRESCRIBE STEROIDS TO HELP WITH THAT CONDITION? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'll bump this because I have a cousin with MS. I'm pretty sure that MS is a neurological disease caused by leasions on the brain. I don't think AS will help, but I have thought about it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

My grandmother has MS, I've known two guys with MS that died form it, and one of my best friends from college is dying from ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease). I don't think the legions are one the brain, but it is a problem where the immune system attacks the protective sheath around nerves and once that is gone, then the nerves short circuit and the area that they went to stops working (no feeling, no muscle contraction). It starts in the extremities and moves inward, once it gets to your spine, you are fully paralyzed and you die fairly quickly. Each tim you get sick, it gets worse. One of the guys I knew would get sick, then he lost the use of his arms, then he got sick and he lost the use of his legs, and so on and so forth. I don't believe steroids would help at all unfortunately b/c they don't help with nerve growth, nor the protective sheath. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
