Lets say a friend, will call him Dick, was to decide that he was going out of the country for a while and was mid cycle and needed to bring a couple of syringes full of his favorite recipes to keep things going. Dick figures he has 3 options: 1) put the syringes in his luggage 2) put his syringes in his carry on bag 0r 3) stick em in his pocket and go thru the metal detector. The question is will the metal in the littel needle set off the metal detector and cause a search? Dick could also mail the items to the location but that is risky as well and might not be timed perfect if you now what I mean. Dick doesn't want to have to go to long without his medication and can get very irratible at times when this happens. Moral of the story Don't let Dick travel without his medication.     | ||

You could put them in your underwear. The metal in the needles would not set off the dtector no more than your zipper would. Just a thought. ------------------ | ||

here is my thought on this. when i travel, i always have my can of snuff on me. it is Skoal Original, the one with the metal cap. i always keep it in my pocket when i go thru the metal detector. the detector has never gone off. i am always suprised about this, this is why i have been considering taking my medications with me when i travel from now on. i have never traveled while on. but i will be on when i travel next. however, i dont know if the metal the pins are made of is different from the metal on my snuff cans. here is another thought. when stuff is smuggled into the country, my sources always wrap the products in carbon paper so that if they go thru the x-ray machine, you can not tell what it is. so, what i am saying is that if you dont want to risk having it on you when you go thru the detectors, wrap the pins in carbon paper and send it thru the x-ray. these are just my thoughts and opinions. peace...Arms | ||

I like the idea of putting it in my underwear. Your'e right about the amount of metal and the zipper not setting it off. any one gotten away with this? more help. Also thinking 2 needles in my bathroom kit on my luggage would be fine? Dick doesn't want to take a 2 week hiatus from his candies. | ||

I use twine to tie together my bamboo.The mud also hardens the walls after you finish tying up everythingm I think it is gonna be well worth the effort. ------------------ BROS BEFORE HO'S | ||

Um I say just wrap them up in something in your carry on that makes it look like you're not trying to hide anything and claim them to be B-12 if there's any questions. I doubt you'll even be looked at. I would take the needles off the darts to help disguise it a bit in the detector. Later, Green ------------------ I GET MAD!!!! | ||

Bump: Stew what are you talking about, twine and mud/bamboo???? Green if I take off the needle part won't the juice leak out? How about my bathroom kit in my luggage? I can't buy darts over seas due to fact i will be with woman 24/7 More info, I know a lot of you guys have done this. Dick doesn't want to be cavity searched. | ||

Bro, put it in your check-in luggage because they aren't looking for that type of stuff just seperate the syringes and put the needles together in one bag and then the rest in another bag. Trust me if you carry that stuff it may be a chance you wish you hadn't of taken. Trust me I got searched coming back from cancun and bags torn apart, those assholes! Mass Monster | ||

Mass monster: That plan sounds good but then I have to bring the amps or the vials with me, no? The idea is to have the gear already in the needles and preloaded so I don't have to bring anything else but one or 2 loaded needles, I'm goin to Europe so leaving isn't the problem and coming back I won't have anything on me. Thinking of just putting the loaded darts in my check in luggage and be done with it. Will it leak out? | ||

Well dick could always remove the needle and put wax on the ends and walk through with them in your pocket, it works...Or get a 10-20cc vial and take the metal off the top and leave the stopper on, and wrap with electrical tape around stopped and walk through, works well too..FOOZ | ||

Interesting ideas Fooz. I think I will just put them in my luggage bathroom kit loaded and having the plastic cover taped around it. I'm sure there used to seeing insulin needles and such if they even notice it at all? Where talking one needle maybe 2 here not a big stash. Dick should be alright right? | ||

Arms your post made me laugh.. I always travel with my can too. It is Copenhagen and it ALWAYS sets off the detector! Now I just put it in the basket and hand it to the gaurd on the other side. They never check it, I hope someone doesn't try this with a device of destruction!! | ||

dude,if your freind is going out of country the least if his problems will be the metal detector,the main concern is going thru customs in that country.if someone travels domestic the smart thing to do is check in the the bag with the stuff in it so that you don/t take a chance on the security person wanting to open your bag because they can/t tell what/s the dark image on the screen and just happens to find your gear.domestic bags don/t get xrayed the only security that airlines use on domestics is to just match the checked bag to the passenger,so if the passenger is not on the plane the bag doesn/t go either.but on intl. is totally different it doen/t matter if you check in the bag because the customs in the country you/re flying to is the biggest obstacle.once in a while us customs does shoe up and xray bags that are checked in on intl flights but it/s mainly south american and some mexican flights.hope this helps. | ||

Metal detectors are strange. When i went to cancun they went off because of the small metal eyes on my boots this happened both ways. So your taking a big chance if your thinking of putting it in your underware. Sorry iAm no help but i hate to see anyone get tagged. Keep training and stay tough | ||
