I know these kind of post get up on the board time after time. But this is happening to me now, and it sucks. Acne all over my shoulders, and now its crept on my back, and lower back as well. Now here it comes, creeping onto my chest. Wow, this physique I have worked so hard to build, now has to be covered up with a long sleeve shirt because im too embarrased to wear a tank at the gym anymore. Hey, at least my face is clear!
Should i go to the dermatologist and just tell her what im taking, and get a prescription for accutane, or would this be too harsh a drug? A gram of test, 600mg of deca, and 350mg of winny every week probably has something to do with this ACNE problem, you think?

You mean accutane makes your acne gone forever? Did i read that right? What happens when you stop taking it, though? Hell man, I am still taking 50mg of winny every day, so accutane may not be a good choice right yet. But, i could just drop the winny and do it i guess. ?

Only for some people will Accutane clear you up forever. For me I was clear for about 2 months after I stopped taking it then my acne came back, not even close to what it was before, but there is still some there. I am glad I did it though because even this is 10X better than what it was.

Peace

Bros, I asked this same thing on the AE board.....I don't have "cystic acne" as Accutane is good for, but I get enough to piss me off. Can Accutane be used at lower dosages? Like 20mg/day?

I used with great results Betadine (polivinilpirrollidone-iodio/10%iodio...I don't know the name for your Country/State).It's like a "soap"you have to use each time you shower, every day,if you can! It's great, trust me!
You put it on the acne-skin and rewash after 2-3minuts.

Yeah, i dont have cystic (sp?) acne, but its just like a big fucking rash all over. My shoulders and upper back especially. And there are a lot of whiteheads, but they are all very small. No huge knockers that swell up. Maybe ill get some accutane. Im gonna go to the dermotologist next week, and just tell her im on AAS and see what she recommends.

I've new to this site but just thought I would give my .02 worth an the accutane subject.
It's been quite a while since I've done it but it def. does work well.
I would get bad acne on back, chest, and some on jaw line area.It was brutal.I think it runs in family as my mother had bouts with it when she was younger(i'm sure gear didn't help)
I went to doctor who then said "yeah right" (when he saw the severity)and sent me to dermo.
Dermo said accutane would be the only thing that would help. Before she would prescribe I had to do a bloodtest. Then when I was taking it before she would presribe agian I would have to take another bloodtest.
I never said anything about gear. The stuff def. works though.
I downsides I found were:
1-freakin expensive(I had no rx plan)
2-Takes a while to work(going off memory I think it took like a month and a half to work for me and it really wasn't gradual, but once it kicked in it was like bam they were gone)
3-Sides-extemely dry skin(Mainly lips always have vasoline intensive care or similar on hand or they will crack beyond belief)Other sides they say are yellowing eyes, decreased night vision in some cases,if you're a chic don't take when pregnant(directions had a picture of what a baby would look like if you did and it wasn't pretty)
4-no gear while on accutane(I've read that some people have no probs with this but I was on pretty high dosage so opted not to.
But on the positive side it is the only thing that worked and for the most part as someone said earlier it shouldn't come back(maybe 1 here or there but nothing like before)and if your doc was like mine you get bloodtest thrown in the deal.
As for reg zits(not cycstic acne)I found clindamycin phosphate(presription) works pretty well(topical).I hope this helps as acne probs def. blow.

By the way I am new to this board.I think it's great.Lot of good info.
Later bros

Go to a dermatologist, Don't go right for accutane, that is harsh stuff, try the more mild stuff first. I'm doing just fine with Doxycycline, and was taking monodox origionally. Try that first, accutane is not the only solution, plus as said earlier, you have to have bloodwork done all the time.

You might want to look into a cleocynin T gel it will keep it under control and then when you are off your cycle then. Take the extreme measures.
