Ok I'm paranoid about losing my hair, so I've been reading and reading about TEST and Propecia. According to Anabolics 2000, Propecia raises circulating levels of test by %15 percent which is good, but supresses your DHT levels which is both good and bad. Good for your hair but bad for your strength and size gains since DHT is a powerful metabolite responsible for strength. Alos it can cause interference with sexual function, even though it raises the amount of test you have in the unbound state. So is PROPECIA benificial to take with a low test cycle, lets say 200mgs a week? Would you take it every day or cycle it? And am I over reacting, Can 200mgs a week cause hairloss?     | ||

At 200 mg/wk I think you are over reacting, but on the same note I don't no any applications where 200mg/wk would be benefit you as far as gains in size or strength let alone having to worry about sides. Minimal wk dose according to anything I've read should be 400mg/wk and anything less than 500mg/wk should result in minimal sides. Of course everyones own prediposition is different. | ||

stick with the topical solutions like xandrox and spironolactone. they are more effective and they wont mess with your gains or cause sexual disfunction. they eliminate DHT in your hair folicles but will not do anything about the DHT in your body. also i agree with newt. 200mgs probably wont promote any sides whatsoever except maybe slightly hightened libido. | ||

I agree with Receptor. Don't bother with the Propecia. At that low of a test dosage, there won't be enough conversion to DHT to affect your hair follicles espically if you are using a topical DHT inhibitor. -Stew | ||

It might cause hairloss due to the stress of trying to put on any weight with only 200mgs of test. | ||

200 mg of test wont produce any sides? HUH? I've used the testosterone cream, never had acne before and got a massive breakout from that... so I can just imagine what injecting would do... fuck yeah 200 mg of test can produce sides if u r new to it! | ||

ok let me rephrase that. unless you are a genetic freak, 200mgs a week of test shouldnt cause any sides. pg, i dont know shit about test cream could you please enlighten me? what kind of ester is used? how much (mgs) are absorbed by your body per week? was your body prone to acne breakouts before you started testosterone therapy? | ||

Hey Rec. are spironolactone and xandrox prescibed or over the counter? I'm ganna pick some up. What do you thiok about saw palmetto? Also Test cream and patches are totally different than injections. You rubbing ytest into you epidermos where it will get absorbed first so no kidding youd get achne. Who care about achne anyway. HAirloss is a bigger unreverible problem. | ||

they are not over the counter but are easy to get. you can get xandrox (which is just a stronger version of rogaine) and spironolactone at www.minoxidil.com | ||

I would not go with spironolactone or xandrox. Spironolactone is known to cause decreased libido just like Propecia and Xandrox can be really bad for you, long term use of this product can cause diabetic conditions, thymus involution (accelerates aging), immune suppression, muscle wasting, the spread of cancers, bone damage, and cataracts. Why don't you try Saw Palmetto, it showed to be more effective than Propecia in controlled studies and it doesn't seem to cause decreased sex drive. Zev, the side effects you're talking about can only be exprienced if you take spironolactone orally. But those who use if only for hairloss apply it topically, and there are no side effects known for using it topically. | ||

Are Spironolactone and xandrox real prescriptions? I read a little about tham and it seems like an after market company makes them from Minoxinil? Would my doctor prescribe it? Do you guys think saw palmeto works? | ||

Will propecia cut done on the size gained from test, since strength comes from dht? If I take say half a tab a day with 200 to 400 mgs of test will that be enough? | ||

When doing over 400mg of test a week, your libido will NOT be effected by propecia. ------------------ | ||
