I went to western union yesterday to send some money. guy i sent it to told me to waive the signature and do a test question and answer. anyway, i did the question and answer but i didn't see anywhere on the page to waive the signature so i didn't say anything. what's the deal w/ that. do you have to tell them or something??? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If I'm not mistaken filling out the test question is the waiver for the signature... ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If you give a test question and get the MCTN# from them you should be able to pick it up - make sure those fucknuts actually fill out the test question/answer and that all the info is correct - have them repeat it to you they always mess up. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

quote: well, it's too late for me this time. i've already sent it and i didn't make sure they got it. just out of curiousity, what happens if my guy goes to pick up the money and WU screwed up and didn't do it. i'm sure he won't sign or show his id. what will happen then?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's inconsistent. Some people will tell you you can require the test answer AND a sig. You should just tell them you're waiving the sig. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Granted it's been a long time since I've wired anything but I thought you ALWAYS had to sign? And who cares about signing anyways... don't most people use aliases? If I remember correctly, the sender is supposed to check the box saying the receiver won't have identification, then he/she fills out the test Q&A part: Q-my favorite food is? A-Dog. If the sender wants he/she can ask for the money-transfer-control-# which will expidite the process when the receiver goes to pick up the funds. Even if you have the box checked ("receiver will not have ID") and the Test Q&A filled out, 9 times out of 10 the WU person will still ask to see your ID...Just remind them that the wire was sent not requiring you to have to show ID. Sounds more complicated than it really is. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

quote: Slopain I am going to have to disagree with you there. Unless you implicitly state that you wish for the money to be collected on the basis of the correct answer to the test question then they will ask for ID anyway. Also must have the MTCN, what can I say they are shitznitz with their heads stuck up their asses on some kind of power trip. The guy I sent money too the other day was pretty pissed because he thought I didnt include a test question, which I did. He still needed ID because I never specifically told the "Thick F***s" to pay out on the basis of the test q being answered correclty. You may ask what is the point of having a Test Question then. Sure as hell beats me. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Signing isn't the issue, you sign no matter what (if its a fake name its afake name signed - if its your real name its your real name signed) Over $1,000.00 needs ID period. Now maybe if its international (maybe applies to you Iron Game?) they require ID's anyways - but even so I dont think thats the case b/c I've done in the past Canada and Mexico with no problems. Iron Game: See that was a case of the idiots not entering in the correct data, they wrote down the test question but didnt check the box or whatever that waives the ID, your not supposed to have to tell them about the ID it is assumed by the test question and answer - but reguardless you always need to tell the numbbuts that your friend lost his ID so he must check the waive ID box. In short: I hate Western Union and avoid them whenever possible. yech! ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
