ok, I haven't taken clomid in a while but I started taking it at the end of my Fina cycle. I have been on now almost 2 weeks(12 days to be exact)and I am taking 2 tabs per day. Well, I have noticed some water retention from this stuff...I can't really remember but I don't think that has ever happened to me before on clomid...?? Does clomid cause a little bloat..?? What's the deal..?     | ||

OK - this will draw some flames, but: Fina cannot convert to Estrogen. Clomid itself is a weak estrogen. It helps reduce Estrogen because it ties up the receptor that is normally taken by Estrone. You have essentially taken a weaker Estrogen(Clomid)and put it into your body when the Fina was not converting to Estrogen. You have therefore made the Estrogen problem worse by using Clomid. Back off the Clomid(unless using to restore nuts) and the bloat will go away. Let the flames begin. | ||

clomid dries you out..??? Gee...I thought that you actually retain water on it. I know that I am...anybody else..??? Does it retain on some while flush out water on others..??? | ||

Clomid is a mild anti estrogen. There is no way it should make you retain water. I doubt it's the clomid. ------------------ | ||

I can only talk about personal experience with Clomid... I always take Clomid throughout the cycle -- I like my little members staying intact! I haven't ever noticed Clomid causing water retention, which would occur right now if the previous theory holds as I'm doing 100 mg of it every day. I don't believe Clomid has anything to do with water retention one way or the other. Are you taking anything else besides the trenbolone? Right now I'm on tren/EQ/winny, and I'm leaner than I have been since high school -- many, MANY years ago! I don't notice any significant water retention from any of the drugs I'm doing. If you're truly concerned with the water retention, pop a couple of 10 mg Nolvadex every day for about a week. You'll notice the water drop drastically. ------------------ | ||

Thanks for the reply GYM. SO, you don't think that it is possible for Clomid or Nolvadex to increase estrogen in an already low-estrogen environment. Nolvadex itself is a weak estrogen. It seems that by introducing an estrogen(albeit a weak one) into your system could increase water retention, especially if the only other compound used was Fina.

Clomid and Nolvadex work on completely separate mechanisms that would be just too complex to discuss here. But, neither one of them is an estrogen or estrogen-like in structure. Nolvadex completes with estrogen for the estrogen receptor, but it doesn't exhibit estrogen-like qualities. Clomid, as I understand (but I need to read a ton more on this), mimics LH, causing other hormones in the body to follow suit and raise levels. (If I'm completely wrong on this, someone knowleggeable please correct me!) ------------------ | ||

Thanks. I could have sworn that I read that Tamoxifen displays weak estrogenic properties...thank you for the clarification. GYM - what does your current cycle look like?? | ||

Both clomid and nolvadex have a similar chemical structure to Estrogen,but are not estrogenic in nature.They are selective estrogen receptor modulators,meaning they selectively bind to certain estrogen receptors,and control those receptors activity(mainly by de-activating them).Clomid stimulates LH production by selectively binding to estrogen receptors on the hypothalamus and pituitary.In a presence of normalized androgens and limited estrogens,these glands will re-initialize production of Leutenizing-Hormone-Releasing-Hormone(LHRH)which in turn stimulates Leutenizing hormone(LH)production... |
