I was thinking about something I read that said when using arimidex, since test doesn't aromatise at the same rate, it has a greater tendency to convert to DHT. I can't decide if this makes sense or not. I know the human body attempts to maintain homeostasis and thus converts excess test to estrogen, dht or produces more sex hormone binding globulin to deactivate it. However I am not sure that hindering one of these pathways will necessarily enhance the use of the alternative pathways. DHT is still an androgen so increasing it doesn't seem like it would provide the estrogen:androgen ratio that the body fights to maintain. My question lies in the truth of this presumption and the necessity of using finasteride to combat increased DHT. I use finasteride and arimidex with testosterone anyways but I wonder if this provides any added benefit beyond prevention of alopecia, edema and gynocomastia? Perhaps the use of these two drugs will raise free serum testosterone levels. giantset ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
