I read the post below but can someone clarify. How should I break open an amp? Use a tool or something/or just by hand? Explain in detail please...thanks!!! ------------------     | ||

TAKE A FILE AND SCORE THE SKINNY PART OF THE NECK, TAKE A TOWEL AND POP THE TOP OFF. YOU CAN ALSO USE THE TOP OF A BIC PEN LID TO SNAP THE TOP OFF. HOPE THIS HELPS M18 | ||

I always used a pen cap..slide it over the top and snap it off...simple. However i did break one out of 16..but thats not too bad. | ||

I take a different approach. i use a pair of wire cutters/tin shears and cut the top off. I don't know, seems to work pretty well for me. E | ||

I had one amp of hcg left and I broke it. I was so pissed. I felt my nuts shrink up right then. Good luck. | ||

I have been just snapping mine off with my fingers. Anything wrong with that? I have tapped on one with my finger once, to get the bubbles out and flicked it off. | ||

Get a good file and score one side of the amp, wrap it in a towel and the top snaps off with the slightest bit of pressure. If you score it real good the top breaks off nice and clean with no jagged edges. Very easy to do and I've never broken one yet. | ||

Keep flicking the top until the top breaks off and fly's across the room. Happened to me once...made for a funny injection day. I use an amp opener now...very cheap. Hudson | ||

leatherman tool has a file that can score the amp very easy. (many has a leatherman) just be sure to use the edge of the file. very easy.. ------------------ Mmmmmmmmmmmm...winny.... | ||

i usually put tape around the amp. It seems to reinforce the glass. Then i file it, and break it off with a towel. I've never lost one that way. | ||

go to the hardware store and get a triangle file for 4 bucks, file the neck of the amp done deal. | ||
