Doc wrote me up a year long script for clomid. (My test levels were still real low after 16 weeks out of a cycle.) He told me to come in once a month for blood work and take 50mg EOD. He said this will over time get my levels back to normal. If this does not work It looks like test replacement for me. He said I should be back to normal within 3 months. This leaves 9 months of extra clomid to use with my cycles !!!!!! What sucks is I was about to hit another cycle on Mon of d-bol, decca,and test but I am posponing it until my levels are back to Normal so I don't do any permanent damage. Looks like creatine and glutamine for the next 3 months but atleas receptors will be nice and fresh for this upcomming cycle. Just goes to show that blood work really is essential in cycling and clomid does work! BTW how much creatine do you usullay take a day??? best of luck foz     | ||

Why would a Doc prescribe clomid to a male? My wifes girlfriend went to get a script for clomid since her and man were trying to have kid. that shit cost her like $8 a pill insurance wont cover it, I was gonna sell them some for $1 a pill but her man is a state johnny wouldn't have been good....LOL ------------------ | ||

I don't know what kind of insurence you have but I would think mine is not the only one that will cover clomid. Take it easy Fozy! I don't think he was flaming you. In the medical community Clomid is used for women to aid in fertilization, it is not what we use it for, he was probably wondering why a doc would presribe it for something other than its intended use. I would hit the cycle anyhow. Why would you wait if the second you get it going normal again, you shut it back down with juice? ------------------ | ||

Personally, I would wait. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I would think that it would be imperitive to get your nuts working again before you shut them down. It seems like if you started another cycle before they got going again you might do some perminent damage. Those are just my thougths on the subject. | ||

I know exactly what it does for post-cycle males, but why would a doc give a dude a script for a womans fertility drug, and no the insurance my wifes gf has doesn't cover it since it is not a needed medicine... Maybe you should know what you are taking before taking it. You would have never made a comment about it if you knew that it was a fertility drug to help women get pregnant. Hey Fozy, I'm in the same boat, got low natural T levels. What were your levels, I've had two blood tests done and one was >74 ng/ml (about what an athletic female would naturally have) to 2.4 ng/ml which is what you would expect in a senior citizen. I'm only 28. Just curious how low yours were so I can get an idea of what kind of treatment I"ll get. I go to a specialist in March. | ||

Shlong i don't go that way, your sexual preference is your own buesness. Please keep it off the board. plifter...My blood test levels were 5.3 on the scale which my hospital uses. Different hospitals use different scales to measure test. The normal range for a 25 year old male on this scale was 16-25. ( I posted the exact mesurements a while back) My LH was 1.0 which is why the doc gave me clomid. He said if the clomid does not work they will take a better look at my LH production and go from there. He said he wants to try the clomid before he jumps into test replacement therapy. Shlong 1. I stated what clomid does for males in response to your first post. This means you do not no how to read very well. Do you honestly think doctors do not know the effect it has on males????? How do you think the bodybuliding communiuty found out clomids effects from a medical point of view. You are not the sharpest knife in the draw are you.... 2. In reswponse the post where you are "LMAO" you edited your post so obviously my response no longer has any relevence to your post. To be honest it is cheaper to get it over the black market. My co pay is 10.00. So for 12 pills ( 1 month supply)I must pay 10.00. We all know where to get it a hell of alot cheaper. I am still going to use this stuff though because it is made in the USA so I feel a little bit more comfterable with it + I know it is lagit. ( has anyone ever seen fake clomid???)mabey thats why I never recovered fully from my last cycle??? | ||

Clomid prescription is ok. Had it once to stimulate my LH and FSH levels to stimulate and increase test production. It helped a bit, but gave me a slight case of gyno You may want your doc to do a sperm count. He might be missing something. | ||

GYNO what ???? from clomid ???? this can be used as an anti E I would think gyno is not even possible by using clomid....Are you sure you were perscribed CLOMID????? Man did you throw out a curve ball...were you on anything else besides clomid??? Schlong: you are correct in stating that clomid is a fertility drug for females, but physicians can and do write prescriptions for "off uses" of medication. Fozy: I think Mikey is right; there have been documented cases of clomid causing gyno--I believe someone posted a link to a paper (in a peer-reviewed publication) on this. It is, however, unusual. | ||

How can clomid give you gyno from a medical point of view. I am really intereted on how this would happen??? Does your own test aromitize???? And if it does wont the clomid block estrogin receptors to some dagree to prevent gyno. This whole idea is making my head spin please give some insight!!! | ||

Okay, here's how I found out more about clomid. While purchasing it down south, the clerks were discussing what clomid was used for in spanish. They laughed and giggled as they packaged it up. I had to just soak it up as they laughed at the fact that they thought I was having a hard time getting an erection. I should have slapped them with my erection! Sometimes I wish I didn't understand spanish. | ||

FOZY You should look into your prescription drug plan. If I mail-order the drugs from my insurance plan's prefered provider...they will give me a 90 day supply with one co-pay vs. the 30day supply if I walk into the pharmacy...check it out...many plans are similiar to encourage people to buy through their prefered mail-order vendor. guys, guys.. clomid IS indicated for BOTH women AND men. i'm trying to translate this from a finnish drug book, 2001 edition of "Pharmaca Fennica". blaablaa. MEN: severe to moderate "oligozoospermia" (that means a low spermcount) for men, that has a low FSH -level..blaa.blaa. sides: nausea and swelling. other possible sides: gynecomastia, aggressive behavior, depression and rash. ------------------ Mmmmmmmmmmmm...winny.... |
