How many days have you been on the KD and what have you been eating? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

No experience with slin, but with a Keto diet, if you are consuming low calories, less than your using, your keto strips will not show you being in ketosis because you have burned up all the ketones for fuel. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm quoting Lyle McDonald here: "Contrary to popular belief, blood glucose never drops that low on a ketogenic diet. Even during total fasting, blood glucose maintains a level of roughly 65-70mmol/dl. Depending on the protein intake of a ketogenic diet, blood glucose will be higher, close to the low normal levels of 75-85 mmol/dl. .....the presence of urinary ketones is indicative that a dieter is in ketosis, regardless of their blood glucose levels." And as for your ketostix in the morning, they only show the excess ketones that are being removed in urine. During night you don't eat, so your body does not produce excessive ketones. So while you have them in your blood, they are low enough that very few spill over into your urine and therefore onto your sticks. Hope that helps. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Give it four days. If you're not in it by the 4th day, then something is wrong. Maybe the cheese is processed ------------------ <\==FinaChat Now Running!==/> Finaplix Message Board http://pub24.ezboard.com/bfinaplix ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
