Has anyone else ever done this before. I took some time off but then the pain came back. What do I do to get rid of it.I don't want to go to a doctor if he's just going to tell me to ice it and rest.

I pulled the hell out of mine about a year ago... Arm wresting for god sake... I won but what cost?!?!? I couldnt lift for 2 weeks. Now I get to experience extreme pain in my right wrist every now and again.

Ibuprofin really helped alot.

I got my chiropractor to shoot some electic shocks into it.. seemed to help.

Aww that sux..I'm just recovering from it now. I worked through it. Just don't do anything that cause it to hurt too bad. It'll go away in a week or two if you stay light.

Ultrasound if you have access somehow. (A local college training room, etc).

Active Release Treatment.

Anti-Inflammatories

I have the same problem in both arms from curling huge amounts of weight. It's been about 1.5 weeks and I still have a problem lifting the curl bar all the way to my chin.

I have it in my brachilialis (spelling?) not sprained but inflamed from over use and such. You have at least 3 choices. Take a month off any use of forearms with the hope they fully recover naturally(not feasible probably, given how we like to train), cortisone shots, or what I will be doing which is acupuncture. My sensei does it for all his ailments and swears by it so I will give it a go tomorrow, in fact I will make a separate post on this as I don't know much about it. Hope this helps.

My forearms have been hurting for a couple of months. Almost feels like it's the bone. It's like an ache. I'm assuming it's my tendons. I recently went up dramitically in all my lifts :-) so I'm assuming my tendons just need to adapt...get stronger. I just work through it.

I've got the same crap for two years now. I layed off for four months and thought it was gone but it came right back again when I started lifting.

I can't lift biceps anymore and have to go kind of light on back too. I just do what I can and lift Chest/Shoulders/Triceps & legs hard.

I actually wrapped my forearms with my knee wraps and they feel a little better. I hope it doesn't last for months though. I didn't really feel any pain until I shot my sust up to 3cc's and my strength went up. I partially blame the immediate strength increase to possible soreness in my arms.

i've raced motocross for about 15 years and there is a surgery that they do . what it is , is that they make a small insision on both forearms and cut away the tissue in there so your arms can grow and not pump up or in your case hurt your strain your tendons . i've heard of about five people who have had it done , with great results ...i won't go that far it'll hammer all my tatts ! not sure if this is what you wanted to know but hopefully this will help !
