A guy I used to work with, at a bar was a BB wanna be and put on probably about 75 lbs of mostly muscle in about 2 to 2 1/2 years. he was taking everything you can imagine and followed a diet and training regime that would blow you away. I actually thought he would make it as a pro because he was that dedicated and even said he didn't care if he lived past 50 and long as he accomplished what he wanted to do. At his peak he was probably 300 lbs and about 10-13% bf. He then decided to lean down to about 260-270. Looked good, next thing I know he moved away and seen him over the holidays about a year later and he is down to about 190 to 200 lbs. Would hardly ever guess he is the same person. He always said HGH was permanent, but I guess not. It just seems like a big waste of time, money and wear and tear on the body for nothing. Not trying to dog on him, because he did work so hard at it. But why pop 10 a bombs at once if your not going to keep it for longer than a year his insides have to be screwed up. What are your guys thoughts.

sounds like the guy gave up on lifting and training. That is his personal decision. I think he could have kept at least some of those gains with proper diet and training. You never know what people are going through...maybe something traumatic happened to him...bad disease, death in the family, etc. Any number of things could have contributed to his decline in size.

If he stopped working out, then his muscles will atrophy. It is basic physiology. I would imagine that you need lots of gear to stay at 250+ at 10-13%bf.

I've seen various pics of pros who have stopped taking gear for one reason or another,& i found it hard to believe it was them.Bertil Fox & the man himself Dorian! ------------------

I disagree with you too thick, I'm 225 at 7-9%(just an estimate, but i got abs and a decent sized femoral vein , and before a week ago, I never touched a thing in my life. Just lifting, for the last 7 years (started at 12). I think without gear, I could still make it up to 250+ lbs. I'm just using them to cut up to 4% or so for some chippendaling hey, it's money why not

You must realize that by building yourself up to 300lbs you are putting a great strain on your heart and other vital organs. I really don't ever see myself as being a 300lb'er, just gaining muscle and lowering bodyfat... ------------------

BTW- Gear is not a good idea to cut up with since it will probably backfire in the long run. Just a warning. I say this because your body will rebound from the unnatural low BF and you will end up with higher BF (especially if you set your hormones off-balance during a cycle).

True, that may be his "natural size" but who knows how far he could make it "naturally." I worked for what I got. My older brother is an a couple inches shorter than me, 6 foot, and he only weighs in at 150-155. If my brother had lifted from age 12 like I had, he and I would look the same, but the fact is, we don't know how that 190-200 lber would look after training naturally for that long. If he was on gear, and able to get up that high in bodyweight, who knows, there is no reason why he wouldn't be able to keep his bodyweight at almost his genetic maximum, provided that he took the proper steps during, and after his cycle, with the proper diet. |
