Hello bro's, sorry this is not related to anabolics but you guys all know how active the diet board is. Anyway, to the point im in the middle of a bulking cycle with creatine\glutamine and gaba for what good it does. My strength has gone up nicely along with a little size on my shoulders etc but my waist size is ballooning out of control, is this because im getting too many cals\carbs in. Would be greatfull for the help bro's.

A rule I use when trying to keep fat off the waist is not to eat both fat and carbs in the same meal. Pick one or the other with protein. It's simple insulin manipulatin.

Yes, it's your diet. I like to keep the protein high, carbs moderate, and fats low-moderate. ------------------ [email protected]

Hello green, to make it simple the diet i use is a low fat high protein, with a weight gainer taken thoughout the day with regular meals. I'll try to work out the exact amount of carbs\cals\protein later. Im avoiding cardio at the moment and doing weights 3 times a week very intense. I get at least 100g carbs\1000cals and 60g of protein after workout before bed (workouts are in the evening). Also perfect rep, i havnt heard of taking in fat seperate to carbs before, i'll look more into that. Does anyone else have any idea's.

If you are finding it hard to lose fat then do all you can to speed up your metabolism, if you are putting on weight but much of it is fat then manipulate your nutrient intake to counter this, also too many calories and some will be fat, try reducing calorie intake slightly and as someone mentioned above try not to consume fats and cars (too many anyway) in the same meal. A small mix of each can be good. If you really want to try something different to get rid of that fat then try a high fat very low carb intake with high protein. Eat 6 times a day more if you can and split your total calorie intake up into these 6 meals. Perhaps try clen as well Peace ------------------

To regurgitate on what everyone else has said, I would suggest that you up your lean protein intake, lower your carb intake to a moderate level focusing on low-glycemic carbs, taking them in no later than 3-5pm ( with the exception to your post training meal). That weight gainer you're taking maybe doing more harm to you than good. I am sure it has tons of cals which you need to grow, but typically these weightgainer's are full of sugar which can easily be sent to you midsection if one is not careful. As mentioned, try NOT to eat lots of fat and carbs at the same sitting, pick one or the other. Both can be utilized as energy sources. I would suggest that you lower you carbs (maybe through less weightgainer shakes) and up your healthy fats (flaxseed oil, any type of nuts, all natural peanut butter ect). You will use these fats as sources of energy to fuel you through your workouts. Keep your lean protein consumption high to rebuild muscle tissue. This should help lean your midsection out given time. Maybe even throw some moderate cardio in (treadmill walking on a 10-15% incline or stairmaster) 1-2 times/wk after lifting. Good luck. Shredd

Thanks for the advice bro's, i'll think i will cool it on the weight gainer for a bit then and try to get rid of some excess fat before i bulk again.

Not eat carbs with fat? I think that carbs with fat is what you ARE supposed to do. Otherwise, pure carbs will cause an insulin spike (useful for after your workout and on ketogenic carb-up days, but that's it). I keep my fat levels pretty high (30%) to keep my insulin moer even throughout the day. |
