Sup all Some of you cats may know who I am, but I just want to post this somewhat anonomously cuz I have a friend that is moving out to another country and wondering what the laws are for selling, shipping gear internationally for him is. For example, if he lives in country X where gear is legal there, if he ship it to you bros in the US while the government gets suspicious of his activities, what kind of things can happen? ALso, any good books on knowing the ins and outs of shipping gear? Thanks     | ||

you have to check with the local (country x) EXPORT laws regarding pharmaceuticals. Technically, the US gov has no jurisdiction overseas. However, if your buddy is breaking his local EXPORT laws, then the US authorities could give info to them and your friend could get busted. | ||

It is illegal for your friend to ship controlled medications to the US, regardless of the country he's living in or what that country's laws may be. If he is a US citizen and US Customs or the DEA finds out a federal warrant can be issued for his arrest and he can be extradited back to the US. I think something similar happened to a guy from this board, he posted about it a few weeks ago...He was in another country, sent a couple boxes to his friends (and himself) back home in the US and ended up getting a warrant for his arrest. I'm inclined to go with sbaset's reply, although Damian made some good points. In my opinion, unless your buddy is shipping containers of gear, or is shipping narcotics, or lives in Canada, he's not likely to face extradition. Especially if he covers his butt locally. Dexter ------------------ | ||

Ah, I was wondering when someone would catch me on that one. The American educational system is still working! Yes, it should have been Titus Andronicus, but I screwed up when I registered. :) When I realized my mistake, I though, "What the heck? I'll just leave it as Titus Antonicus." Hmmm.
