Normally I consider that I think pretty quickly on my feet. But I was sick the last two days of the week and part of this weekend, so I was falling in and out of sleep for four days. I live in an apartment where they don't want you getting packages at all, let alone leaving them in the mail room. Our old mailman was cool about leaving crap, but I never bothered with it. Then we got a new mailman and I happened to order some syringes recently. So this new mailman decides that he shouldn't leave the package and should instead buzz my apartment. We have an intercom where you can buzz someone and it rings their phone and then they can let you in via the phone... well, via the door - but the phone activates it. So sometime Friday I was waken up by the phone ringing and was groggy and heard that the mailman was upstairs and had a package for me - I told him I'd be up in a minute and then hung up. Then I realized how big an idiot I was - I should have just told him to leave it and then picked it up sometime much later. But now he was waiting for me upstairs. I also have an order of AS on the way (obviously all legal via a doctors script and all that... and uhh, yeah, they aren't in the mail either) - anyway, so I wasn't sure what this package was, but I figured it was probably a sure thing that I was busted since I've never had my mailman call me before. I got up there and was glad that it was actually the mailman, but still nervous. He was just some sweaty balding guy that was nice enough and I told him that he could just leave all future packages in the mail room. He told me he wasn't allowed to and I said "well, if you think you'll ge tin trouble withe the front office here, just tell them I told you to leave them" and he was fine with it. I told him I just wanted to make his job easier b/c I knew it was a pain in the ass to have to track me down and then told him to have a good day. I then didn't open my package for a day thinking for sure that I was busted. Still no probs yet... But damn I was an idiot. From now on, I'm not answering the phone if it wakes me up. only answering if I'm in a fully functioning mental state. hey, anyone else on this board from Boston or even MA? ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I actually live in NCambrige now - slummy area. Expensive as hell and it is basically a slum. Gotta love the Boston area. as for gyms, I workout at a pansy gym out near where I work in waltham - it is supposedly where the Celtics train, but I've only seen about 3 of them - I think it is where they send the injured ones. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i don't want to sound like a total loser, but gym proximity is at the top of my list. i work out of my apt ('puter programmer like yerself), and during the week i usually only leave my apt only to go to the gym or get something to eat. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I hear ya man! I never leave my apartment except to get food, work, or to go to movies. usually I can combine them. if it wasn't that I can't stand living with other people, I'd say we should be housemates. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
