I just finished my first cycle about a month ago... I made some decent gains, and when I went home for Christmas to be with my family, my mom almost passed out! Later that night, my dad asks me if I'd used anything... I made the mistake of being honest and told him that yes, I had. Now, he writes me E-mails and forwards me articles about THE DANGERS OF STERIODS every friggin day. His latest letter said that he read that Swarzennegar's on dialysis! Is that true? I know he had heart surgery a few years ago (no doubt from steroid related problems), but I hadn't heard about this. If you know anything, please fill me in. ------------------

The "Arnold on dialysis" rumor has been floating around for a long time--I first heard it in '91.

arnold has had was is called a "sputtering heart valve" since he was born. doctors have said that the only reason he was actually able to go as long as he did without this surgery is because of lifting weights. because of his large muscle volume, he had a lower average sistolic and diastolic(heart pumps out into larger volume arteries etc.) his entire life, which enabled him to live with the bad valve.

Look, you guys may be right... maybe he's not on dialysis. However, are you sure about this faulty valve thing? I'm not accusing the big guy of anything, but back in the 70's, D-bol was THE roid of choice for just about everyone (probably partly due to it's widespread availability). Furthermore, prolonged Dianabol use is known to put stress on the cardiovascular system by increasing blood pressure, lowering HDL values, etc.; isn't it possible that the heart surgery was in fact due to complications arising from D-bol use? Whether this was or was not the case, I would not expect honesty in the media about this, since this would ruin Arnold's career. Professional bodybuilding is and always has been a hush-hush society, so I really don't know what to beleive. Thanks for your input.
