I don't look fat by any means.. atleast I don't think so.. I look pretty thick, or most ppl say so.. Anyways. Last time I had my bf % chcked I was 13.5% and this was before I took any juice. Since then I have done 2 rather shitty cycles, 1 that consisted of dbol only, one that was test only. Here are my results I am rather dissapointed. The guy that checked it said I don't look as bad as it shows and all the people that I showed the results to agree.. so I don't know if its off or not. It was checked w/ a machine, they hooked a wire up to my foot and one to my wrist.. takes about 10 seconds.. Before I juiced: Weighed 190lbs 13.5%bf After 2 cycles: Weigh 230lbs 17%bf But i can see the outline of my upper abs, so I don't see how im 17% but.. oh well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

dude gear will not make ya fat diet will. even though you want to get big don't do it at the exspense of bodyfat as you will loose to much muscle if you diet down. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

so yer saying, don't bulk? The reason my bf went up is beacause i was in a bulking stage, when I weighed 190lbs I had no size.. I gained a good bit of muscle along w/ the fat. I'll post some pics when I can get a camera. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those electrical resistance machines are total bullshit anyway bro. Go by the tapemeasure around your belly in mourning(empty). This will give you an excellent comparative way of seeing if you are improving. There is a calculator at weights.net that will give a good guesstimate from that of %. Those electric doo dahs are worthless, so don't feel bad. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have a 34" waist. Most average joes who don't work out and weigh 230lbs at about my height are pretty flabby. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sorry, not trying to upset ya but your increase in bf is to high. yes i bulk but when i do my bodyfat stays below 12 % I just eat lots of clean food. it makes no sense to bulk up and keep bofyfat high as when you do go to cut or lean you will lose to much size. take this from me as i went up to 18% and it took forever to look good. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Agreed.. all im saying in the post however is that I think the accuracy of the test is off. Theres no way in hell im 17% bodyfat. I don't look near that. Is it possible to be 17% bf and see abs? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

spunky, the test may indeed be off, but people tend to underestimate their bf% i have noticed. most people who say they are 10% are actually 15% or even higher. so don't worry about it as much, the mirror is what counts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I can't see my abs deep until 10% and barely at 12 % but everyone is different. aslo the test you had done i did way back and its not accurate to me but 3-4 %. try calipers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Exactly, and to me i think I look damn good in the mirror. Im not being boastful, but im proud of what I have accomplished.. But after that body fat % test, it makes me look like a fat fuck........ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The body fat calculator at weights.net says that a 230lb. guy with a 34" waist is about 10% fat. There!, feel better now? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The scales are a joke. When I was a sprinter at a legit 7%, I tested at 23% on the scale (in athlete mode. In non-athlete mode it was 27%) The one where they lie you down and do the ankle thing is more accurate. Even then I'm sure there is a big variation from calipers, since fat storage patterns (sub q versus intramuscular and interabdominal) vary alot between people. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've performed literally thousands of bodyfat assessments over the years associated with various jobs and I can tell you with absolute certainty that the BIA technique is worthless for serious resistance-trained athletes(the manufacturers even admit to this). This is due to a number of factors, not the least of which is the use of the BMI in their prediction equations. In other words, if you weigh more than standard height/weight tables indicate you should, it assumes you are fat. Stick with skinfolds(repeated by the same trained professional), densitometry, or the "bod pod" if you have access to it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
