originally posted by macrophage69alpha 1. Why do so many people use large gauge needles to inject? 2. Why is it,or so it seems, that so few use drawing needles? these puppies are cheap 4$ for a hundred. that way the needle you inject with is clean and sharp as can be. not only that you can use a 18g to draw- you can draw up anything with 18g in a matter of seconds. its sterile and makes everything easier. 3. why on earth does anyone re-use needles? Ok, sometimes you run out, this should not happen, but if it does make sure to clean them with alcohol. other wise just order a bunch when you get them, they are pretty cheap and range from 12-28$ per 100 depending on gauge, source and manufacturer. Stock up on pins- dont risk infection for a 25 cent syringe. the doctors visit is going to cost you more than many boxes of pins. 4. injection volume- I often see people posting that they have done several one or two cc injections- heres a little breakdown that may suprise you: glutes- can usually take 5cc per injection quads- 2.5 to 3.5 cc considered safe range delts 2-3 cc considered safe calves- only if you want nerve damage- not advised soviets+ eastern bloc atheletes did 10cc injections into glutes and quads- I dont recommend this but just goes to show the capacity. Peace Heating of suspension solutions to get all of the solute to go into solution can be done with pan and water or in the microwave just be sure to not over heat- ie. do not boil your solution. DO NOT OVERHEAT

This looks familiar Who could have written it? I cant tell because no credit is given..... If you are going to repost something you should give credit to the original author- Which Was NOT YOU... Peace ------------------

quote: I never claimed it was me. Which is why the title of the thread included the word REPOST If I knew who orginally posted it, I would have given that info. However, this information came from a larger document of cut and pastes that I keep in a word format, not from searching the archives. In other words, I have a word file going that if I see something interesting, I cut and paste to. Sometimes I get the name in, sometimes I don't. Don't be so quick to assume shit. ------------------

Oh, and MAC it's good to see you posting again. I was just wondering today where you've been. ------------------

Well, I guess you're busy doing other things or don't want to reply. No skin off my dick. My intention was to help alot of the new guys that I see around here with some good information that they probably haven't seen before. I guess if I have good info, but no name I just shouldn't post it huh. Or maybe I should add a disclaimer, something to the effect "this is absolutely not mine, this is a cut and paste, please do not give me any credit for providing you with this info, I had nothing to do with it" I've been around the boards alot longer than my registration date implies. Info is info and if I see something good I'm going to post it. If I have the name I will give the name. If I don't I won't. It's not like any of this is copyrighted screenplay material anyway. Again, sorry for the confusion, I guess I just assumed everybody would appreciate the info and not worry about who gets credit for it. I'll try to be more clear in the future. ------------------

I thinks perhaps you may have taken my criticism a little to personally- It is really not all that important- but others do take credit, whether intentionally or not, for reposts which can be confusing to some members- Plus it was my post, and since I have been away, it was a little disconcerting to see that the first post I looked at was one of my own. But no big deal- perhaps I should have made that clear- it was sort of a "hey where my credit" in a perhaps to sarcastic tone- apparantly Being in England for a month tends to make you a little too sarcastic, as well as out of shape(hard to find a good gym while vacationing. quote: AHHH, now I understand better... lol! Good info MAC!! I didn't have much luck with gyms in England either, but I still had a blast! (spent most of my time in London). I'm particularly sensitive to the subject of plagarism/infringement as I'm a published author and photographer. I was in horror at the thought of being labeled a rip-off artist so I probably over-reacted. In retrospect, I could see how just saying repost might not be enough... As Ranger would say "It's all good" Hope you get back to where you want to be soon -- I'm looking forward to your future posts. I have a lot of respect for your knowledge in this venerable little corner of the world. later, ------------------ |
