If an average joe like me gets busted from either getting steroids through the mail either domestic or overseas, what is the penalty? Let's say I was caught with about $500 worth.     | ||

I think it's up to 12mo/$1,000$ fine... I could be off on this tho, I've never been arrested for it. | ||

3 years prob and $850 fine if it is your first offense. That is no matter what quantity you have. I got busted with 10,000 valium tablets and that is what I was facing if I had been convicted. | ||

Jae you sure about that? I think it varies from state to state, county to county, and quantity does play an important role. But for the typical user, as long as you have a clean record (no priors) jail time is highly unlikely... probation and fine is what you can expect. | ||

The funny thing is the DEA, US Customs and AMA (among others) were all against making steroids federally controlled substances. Law enforcement did not want to waste their time busting athletes and bodybuilders, and the AMA said there was no proof steroids were physiologically addictive which is the determining factor as to whether or not a med is controlled...You can thank Ben Johnson and George Bush. | ||

Your country seems quite mild. I have heard propaganda saying that the average possesion bust in California netted a 42 month prison term. That was enough to keep me out of that country. ------------------ |
