I had shitty calves and put a little over 2 inches on them, but have hit a wall. I work them about every 3rd day and do about 6 sets of 10 - 15 reps. Does anyone have a good workout? I am considering doing them once a week, what do you think? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

When you hit the wall on a body part, it's time to try something new. When it come to calves, the options in the gym are limited by the equipment. Go out in the parking lot, tie a 45lb. plate around your waist so that it drags a few yards behind you and run sprints on the balls of your feet (its even better on grass). Get a friend to steer and brake, and push your car around the lot up on your toes. Not only will you grow the calves, but you will develop speed and practical leg strength as well. Plus, everyone will laugh their asses off...... till they see your progress. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Wear high heels and walk up and down a flight of stairs for a half hour everyday,with a buddy sitting on your shoulders. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Pick an exercise---(seated-standing-donkey-whatever)and do just one of these. Pick a weight that you can get 20reps,your 20th rep should be all out----wait 10 sec and repeat--do as many as you can be count them---keep the same weight throughout, until you reach 75 reps-----You may only get a few reps on your 60th rep and on ---Thats the idea! Remember just 10 sec. rest between-----For the first week just do this once and on your 2nd week do it twice a week with a diff. exercise---Watch your calves grow! ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I agree with Ex- infantry pgf2a, aside from getting calf implants, may be the only option for those with genetically inferior calves. Though tearing the muscle fascia may be another option, though how exactly one might go about this???? btw- avoid using synthol- it can be very dangerous in calves and forearms. peace ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

Drop sets are good too. I'd use pgf2a if it was practical for me, but it's not. I might try injecting EQ into my calves this upcomming cycle. The oil alone should stretch them out a little. I've been thinking about doing some extreme stretching on the calf machine too. BTW, when I use dumbbells and a step of some kind, I'm way more sore the next day than if I used the machines.
