And its a pretty bad tear in my upper left pec. The first thing they asked me is if i used gear. I wanted to say, "asswhole just tell me how to get it better!". Either way they said i cant use it for 6 weeks , does that mean just lifting or can i not play lacrosse for a whle also?Anybody have experience with this?

A pec tear is serious shit. Try more like 4-5 months before you lift what ya want to. The 6-8 weeks is like if you just walk around all day (no training). What did they give you?? Soma, Loritab, etc?? Lay off the gear, let your body focus on the injury. The gear has it doing other things.

It sucks.

They didnt give me shit in the way of a script for pain etc. Ive got a follow up next week so maybe they will then, but its definately uncomfortable.

They may try to give ya Loritab (or something sim.). Don't go for that shit. It will be Sunday, and you will be hurtin' like shit and can't get anything from the doctor! Maybe a nice SOMA compound, but that only works for most. I don't get much off of it, but it is... "Whooaaa.. your on SOMA..man are you out of it!" - in the Med. community. Not necessarily.. Get some val. or coed.

Can you provide 411 on EXACTLY how you tore your pec ?

i.e. What exercise, how much warm-up, how far into your workout were you....
