As I recall, sexual dysfunction IS one of the sides listed in the insert for Deca (Organon.) At least, such is my recollection. I don't have any, at the moment, so I cannot check. I have never experienced it myself, luckily, but the Deca-Dick phenomenon is quite real, as many brothers will attest. | ||

There is no medical evidence to substantiate impotence while taking deca, eh? Well guess what my friend? There is hardly any "medical" evidence that suggests that steriods induce muscular hypertrophy! Don't believe me? Go look for yourself. The medical community will tell you that all steriods do is make your muscles swell with water weight, which increases your leverage, which may contribute to slight gains in LBM, but not that much. My buddy was on for 3 weeks and had to stop because of a shoulder injury. From week 2 to 2 weeks after, he couldnt perform. God Damn IT!! Who the Fuck cares!! Let's spend our energy on TRAINING... Like I said in my earlier post.. I tend to side with Ultra.. I have prescribe quite alot of gear in my time and this is a RECENT thing! I am not bothered by it nor are any of the DOC's immediate training buds.. HOWEVER... if you guys have certain symptoms then fine.. GO TO YOUR Doctor. WHO CARES?? This is really pissing the DOC off. There are NO LIARS. Can't we all get HUGE!! DOC HUGE | ||

Well common sense would tell me that why would my ttokyo deca have a warning for humans in an insert when there is a picture of a dog on the box. Don't forget that most of the juice we take is meant for animals such as horses and etc. It's just a small risk we take to achieve our goals. Deca dick does happen, but not to everyone. Here's a good explanation that i snipped from vox's newsletter. There are three major reasons for the condition of "Deca Dick." Basically that condition is the inability to achieve a full and constant erection and a significant decrease is sexual drive and pleasure. The three main reasons why 19nortestosterone/Deca causes these are, decrease in DHT production below necessary levels, decrease or total inhibition of LH (Leutinizing Hormone) production, and lastly a stopping of GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone.) DHT is androgen that works on many parts of the body. It is created by the conversion of testosterone in the prostrate by the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT plays a major roll in testicular functioning and health, and therefore sperm and testosterone production. The nortestosterones like Deca do not convert to DHT and therefore that will not aid in the process of testicular health. However, nortestosterones, more than any other androgen, will stop natural testosterone production. How does nortestosterone do this? It has the ability to bind tightly to receptors in the brain that shut off GnRH production and therefore limiting FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and LH to some degree. Nortestosterones also convert to estrogen rapidly and therefore the higher estrogen will bind to the hypothalamus, a part of the brain involved in LH output which LH is responsible for triggering the testicles to produce testosterone. Why one takes clomid is to block the estrogen from shutting that systematic testosterone production loop down. The decreased erectile performance comes from this multilevel shutting down of the testicles. Sexual desire is usually associated with the increased level of cortisol in relationship to the levels of catecholamines in the brain. The catecholamines are the good feeling brain chemicals and when cortisol exceeds a certain level those chemicals start to decrease. Deca, because of its high binding affinity also raises cortisol levels very high, therefore decreasing sexual desire over time. It takes a long time for cortisol levels to stabilize if left untreated. | ||

deca dick does exists but will usually only affect you if you have a pre-existing libido condition. take 2 25mg of proviron and your boy will salute on command. and for no reason at all too. | ||

It does exist and usually the onset is not until late in the cycle or right when the cycle is done. I had it when I did deca, I was waxing like a champ during the cycle and a week or so after my last shot I was limp, or it would go half way. The my sex drive was also falling fast. I took clomid and tribbulis and it was of little help. I had to get some proviron. Never had the problem with test, and primobol. ------------------ | ||

Doc: First: are you a real life doctor? if so tell us a bit about yourself, please. Secondly: deca-dick is called deca dick BECAUSE IT ONLY HAPPENS WITH DECA I suffer from deca dick - if it was a "steroid sympton" then I would suffer it with EQ,Test, Primo, and all the others. Is it just the name you dont like? lets call it nandralone dick then - or (jeffrys will like this one =) maybe denkall-dick. Is that better? It is not in your head! Why does no one fucking believe it exists? I got the symptoms before I even heard of deca dick. No problems with other gear either. I bet that nandralone is the culprit because it stays in your system for so long. I stay away from Deca, and laurabolin since then and no problems. ------------------ | ||

Nandrolone is actually classified as a progestin unlike the vast majority of all the other gear. It has progestenic effects in people of course. Nevertheless, let me settle the question as to whether it is listed as a side effect in the actual product insert. My deca is straight from the pharm. on prescription. It is American Deca Durabolin 200mg/ml. 1 ml vials. The insert enclosed states: ADVERSE REACTIONS: Postpubertal: Inhibition of testicular function, testicular atrophy and oligospermia, IMPOTENCE, chronic priapism, epididymitis and bladder irritability. That is a direct quote. It is also the same quote that is in Delatestryl inserts (test. enanthate). People do complain more often than not that Deca is killing their drive and function so I believe it to be undoubtedly true. However, I would not believe everything I read in an actual pharmacuetical insert for gear because they are generic information for the most part. This is a new insert and it still says that: "THERE IS NO PERSUASIVE EVIDENCE THAT ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE IS IMPROVED BY USING ANABOLIC STEROIDS." It also states that Deca is tough on the liver, and that liver panels should be tested every once in a while even though it is not 17aa and is pretty much non-toxic to the liver. It is the same generic info on all american inserts. Even Halotestin inserts say gynocomastia is a possible side effect when we all know the the chemical structure makes any aromatization impossible and it has no progesterone related reactions. In conclusion, Deca Dick is real so just accept it. If you don't then quit bitching because nobody wants to hear it. All drugs affect people in different ways. Furthermore, Doc Huge is a jackass. What I am saying is that I don't believe Deca Dick.. I think it is an adverse reaction to any gear. It could be caused by Deca, Test, Winny, EQ, etc. You guy's love this - sentence structure thing.. What they are saying doc is that there is something inherent in nandrolone that seems to cause impotence. The point being that deca seems to be a major culprit in this area as opposed to other AS. It is not simply because deca is an AS. I am sure you would be hard pressed finding someone who has 'primobolan dick'. It is has something to do with that particilar AS. Theories on causation of 'deca dick' has been postulated above. | ||
