The surgeon that I had a visit with yesterday that pretty much said I was a lard ass and the gyno would go away if I lost 40 lbs.(I'm 5'10" 185-190lbs. at about 12%BF) tried to discourage me from having the procedure done at all because it wasn't necessary(even though he does breast implant surgery) He told me that I would look worse afterwards because my chest would not be symmetrical and would be covered with scars. For those who have had this done were you satisfied with the results?

good advice Hayes, the only reason I went to this guy in the first place was because he is the only one in my area that is approved by my insurance. I guess I'll pay for it myself, getting good results is more important than the $$$

IF you're 12% there is no way he'd call you a lard ass @ 190 with %12 bf you're only carrying 22 lbs of fat! How are you supposed to lose 40 lbs of fat?? Are you underestimating you bf%?????

I had a caliper test done for BF. they measured my chest arms legs and stomach and averaged them together. I know thats not the most accurate way to measure but I figure it is at least a close approximation

your doctor is very ignorant on Gyno surgery. You need to find someone who specializes in gyno/male breast enhancement surgery...even if your insurance doesnt cover it. When done properly, the scars are almost imperceptible, and your cheast will look hard and tight.

my surgeon did a pretty good job. the scars are barely visible. i'm not "hard and tight" yet, but it's only been about 7 weeks. when i saw him 2 weeks ago, he seemed concerned with the muscle mass i've lost in the chest and told me to start lifting(lightly at first)..i've been on the machines all week, upping the weight a bit each time. maybe by Feb. i'll be benching and flying..i'm still mildly tender and sore so i don't wanna rush it. anyhow, your doc sounds pisspoor. there are several who'll do good jobs..the only bad thing is my insurance wouldnt cover, so i paid 4000...good luck

my gyno was natural. i've never juiced but i still may when i'm fully healed. i'm just worried that since i had it, i may be "predisposed" to it and i'm not sure i want to risk it returning, nolva or not.
