Spent 6.5 hour waiting to see a doc today cause I though I had an infection in my hip and it turns out my doctor think I have have a hernia forming. Damn, anyone ever get this? What does it mean for my upcoming cycle? How long does it need to rest? She told me to take Advil, but that sounds kinda stupid casue it doesn't hurt much!

Bro, from what I know, this is not a case of "rest." A hernia is a very serious ACUTE injury. It's not a pulled muscle or an inflammed joint that will get completely better on its own with time. You have a fucking tear in your abdominal wall. That is not fun shit. I would definitely not "work through" this type of injury. Seems to me it would be tantamount to working through a fracture or something like that.

Of course, there is also the possiblity I have no idea what I am talking about because it is late. You decide.

I have had a hernia since 1992 and I have yet to have the operation. I dont have pain any more, but some tightening in my ass every now and again. I need to get supplemental insurance to cover lost wages before I can get it taken care of. I dont like the idea of being out of commision for 2 to 3 months.

Well it hasn't swollen up, it just feels like a tightnes in my ass and hip at the moment. Man I wish it had been an infection! I am not going to let it dampen my cycle plans though, just gotta learn what excercises not to do...

I you can work through it, you can. Bottom line is when you have it done they will cut you open. So whether you have it done now on if its not that bad, wait and find a "good" time later, so you can plan finacially and take care of any other issues too.

I've had a hernia before. Pretty much your intestine pushed through your abs. MOst of the time it will require an operation to fix it. My advice is to wait on that cycle until you know for sure if there gonna cut you open.

Yes, did that, but it all depends on the job you have.
And no hernia not always need an operation. They can shoot it away sometimes.
