i posted this on MR H's board also. iused one of a's kits and my finished product was a golden yellow color. i decided to take another step further and steralize the fina in the oven as per the ref on MR H's board and it turned it to the color below. is it still safe to use.. i put it in the oven at 250 degrees for 15 minutes and let cool for 10 then repeated the process 2 more times. what do you think.. thanks 1AbBIG [This message has been edited by 1AbBIG (edited January 16, 2001).]     | ||

thanks, when you use a's kit , do you need to steralize it in the oven or is it just fine once you run it through the filter at the end.. | ||

im in the softening pellet stage right now but when the time comes, im gonna run it in the oven, just to be extra safe. im sure the filter is pretty good at catching most baddies, but im extra cautious. ------------------ | ||

It is Beautiful, man! When in doubt, Sterilize! I have cooked 5, they all look like that, and they have given great results, so far. Good luck! | ||

If you're really concerned, before the oven stage and using the .45 GDX filter, use a coffee filter...works like a charm and doesn't clog the smaller filter as much. ...bd |
