Today i was in the gym, nearing the end of a training cycle for upcoming lacrosse season. I was beching 345, was only supposed to do it twice, but it fealt light so i went for 4. On the fourth, going down, i fealt something like a tendon tear in my upper chest/front delt tie in. The weight fell on me and my spotter had to grab it. There is no bruising or discoloration yet. I can lift my arm above my head but it feels like the area is stretching and pulling, its very tight.It has been throbbing ever since the incident, si ive iced and ibuprofren,any ideas as to what this could be?Im worried cause my season starts next friday, please help bros!!

just wait till tomorrow bro..your going to be feeling it bad. It could be a tear or you just pulled a muscle. I think if it was a tear, it would hurt alot more then you describe. Hopefully, you just pulled something.

Cycle ice 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off for the next 24 hours; if it is not a complete tear(which it sounds like it isn't) then you will benefit greatly from the ice. Bad news is I would take things easy for while.
