I was doing bench the other day and I aggravated my front shoulder. It fucking hurts and it is very sore. What is the best thing to take to relieve the pain or the best thing to do to get back in the gym full strength the quickest. Should I ice it up or put heat to it? Any drugs I should take?

I really can't take anytime off from the gym to recover because I just started a cycle last week.

Go to a doctor and get a shot of decadron(cortizone) in it. it should quit hurting a couple of days after that.

Keep icing it down three times a day for 20 minutes making sure to keep it elevated. If it is stil sore after a week, begin to apply heat to it. The pain should go away in a couple weeks if you injured it, and just not tweaked it. Also, take some ibuprofren.

I wouldnt reccomend the cortisone as stated above. It is works as a short term fix, but withrepeated use the connective tissues will become brittle. Stick the OTC anti-inflamatories and heat/ice as necessary. If the pain dosen't subside you could always go with a low dose of deca.
