that sounds about right, but you know there are many different ways to diet, so its always good to have a pro connect make a diet for you, one of my buddies back in arkansas use to have kim cheveski's husband chad make out his diets.

12 weeks should be ample time. Depends on how much you have to lose and setting up a time frame on how to do it as non drastically as possible to prevent loss of lean muscle.

My opinion is that the time frame of dieting should be dependent on your BF%. 10% = 10 weeks. 15% = 15 weeks.

Being that my bodyfat in the offseason never gets over 8-9%, i will diet no longer than 9 weeks. I just don't think i need to diet longer. I understand Spunky's point.....the more bodyfat, the longer diet. Makes sense.

i always average a 9.5% body fat in the off-season so i diet 10 weeks for a contest.
