I know this belongs on the training board but this one gets more traffic so please don't delete it. Is it a waste of time to work your forearms? Can they actually grow that much to be worth the time and extra pain in the ass? If so, I'm assuming that like calves and abs you should do high reps. Am I right? How many times a week? Also, I can't figure out when to do military. Ideally I would do it on bench day but my tri's are so weak after bench and incline that my military sux. What do u guys think, settle for a weak military or do it on a diff day? Also if u guys could take a look at my mass routine and tell me wut u think. I'm 3 days into week 4 of my deca only cycle and it's starting to kick in, I'm up 10lbs. thanks m: dead, back, shoulders

not to flame you, but fuck, i think you're training too much, man! you must have some super-freak kick-ass genetics to recover enough on that schelude.. this is just my opinion, but i say one bodypart once a week. you can fucking blast that bodypart and have it gRRRRRROW 'till next week. remember, the muscle grows when you're resting. as for the forearms, they will usually grow if you don't use straps in every exercise. just the hardest back-sets. i do a couple of sets on my back day. just a few sets to end the day.. and then about the only deca cycle. aren't you afraid to have deca dick? ------------------

Bro nothing made my forearms grow more then heavy deadlifts and realy heavy weighted chins. Also I have been entertaining the idea of entering a local strongman comp lately so I have been doing what is called the "farmers walk" where I take the 2 heaviest dumbbells on the rack (65kg at my gym) and walk about 20 metres back and forth with them until I can't hold them anymore, nothing will burn the forearms more I assure you of that. I believe Luca and BigBazooka summer it up perfectly. In my opinion you are training too much and secondly if you are using steroids it means you have already reached your natural limit and therefore should be lifting some quite heavy weights. If this is the case doing small wrist curls with 15-20kg dbumbbells wont really do too much. In my opinion it is a waste of time once you have passed the natural limit. By training back, chest, shoulders, biceps, you are always using forearms as a stabiliser. Doing deadlifts with heavy weight is probably the best bar none. One thing that has helped me a lot with the Brachialis (sp) is reverse grip barbell curls. ------------------

Thanks for the help. Yeah...as far as the deca only thing goes, that's just because I'm paranoid about hairloss, and I took 1 sus a couple weeks ago just as a counter measure for the d-dick and an extra boost. So u guys think I'm training too much? I didn't think working a body part twice a week was overdoing it. I have a high metabolism and heal pretty quickly and just kinna "know" by feeling when my muscles have recovered, but maybe I should give more time. But isn't 6 days between lifts a little much? Whenever I'm on the juice I just feel like when I'm not lifting to an extent I'm not taking full advantage of it. I dunno. I work out in my garage and have no dumbells so that rules out that option for forearms, but I do heavy deads so I'll just kick back on the forearms seperately. Also...this is unrelated but I was just reading through the archives on anavar because I'm considering using some and I think E2 told me it's easy on hair. But then there was a post from a guy who said he was 2 weeks into an anavar only cycle and experiencing more hairloss. Then there was like 2 more posts in the thread from bro's who questioned that saying they had never heard of hairloss with anavar. But that was it and there was no consensus. I'm guessing that anavar is "hair friendly" right? thanks guys l8s |
