I'd never do it the tanning salon is easier. But I have no experience with it. ------------------ If you enjoy it today you can always do it again tomorrow.

That stuff is terrible, it really does turn you orange, not tan. Just get some Trisoralen, it's cheap, easy to find and actually increases your melanin levels leading to a dark competition tan.

Trisoralen...just do some medical research and present it to your physician telling him how much safer it would be to take them and tan for only a few minutes a couple of times a week than tan without them every day for as much time as possible. Very cheap and work wonders. B True

Canthaxanthin - DO NOT DO IT. Orange, orange, orange, and stays on hands and feet for a long long time. If trisoralen is too fancy for you - try a self tanner. Many women seem to have a knack for putting it on right (surf around and look for their forums). Use a better brand like Neutrogena or even better or it may look bad.

I've used it without much problem. Early on in my competetions I overdid it once and was noticeably "orange". I still get some "orange" effect but it isn't too bad because i'm more conservative with it now and get plenty of indoor tanning too. My suggestion, if you use it, is to be conservative with the stuff and be sure you are using the tanning beds too. NEVER depend on canthanxanthan alone as you will be very disappointed.

Gamuscles is right. I've had great experience combining small dose of canthaxanthin for a couple months with outdoor tanning every few days. Turned me dark, a little orange but it looked more natural due to natural tan. I loved it at one to two per day. I think it helped clean up acne also.
