This was from a local newspaper in Massachusetts. Anyone know him? ------------------- TAUNTON -- An Easton man, accused of accepting a package containing more than 100 vials of steroids from an undercover agent on Monday afternoon, was released from Taunton District Court Tuesday on $500 cash bail. Robert Cantalupo, 28, of 14 Depot St., South Easton, was arraigned on Easton police charges of possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of steroids with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. An MBTA police officer, who is currently assigned to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Boston Task Force, delivered the package of steroids to the accused man at his home. Cantalupo allegedly accepted and signed for the package, according to police. After Cantalupo�s arrest, police executed a search warrant at his residence, according to court records. District Court Judge Gilbert J. Nadeau Jr. continued Cantalupo�s case to April 17.    | ||

I think that his source was dumb for putting 100 vials into one package. Also I'm pretty sure that they knew that this guy was a dealer before that anyway. Signing the package was the final nail in the coffin for him... | ||

This is very strange because what I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend is the receiver knew the box had been caught even though it was sent domestically...So whomever said he was forced to sign is probably right (or at least pressured) because the name on the box wasn't who they ended up arresting...I am sure you will hear much more about this arrest later. Damn, this really sucks. | ||

I've signed for stuff before. Not much, bottle of d-bol(1000), prescription drugs..etc.. Kinda makes me think twice. Or is this blown out of proportion. 100 amps doesn't seem like it would be worth their time. Thats a small package. | ||

Dameian-We must know a couple of the same people.That package(like all the others)NEVER require you to sign. The package was a day late and the kid cracked and signed-and he also said some things too.It was 50 bottles of "andro",and 50 bottles of another brand of "DHEA".The cops called every # he had in his cell phone. How does the law work in regards for intent to sell. I know it is based on milligrams when dealing with amps. I was caught with under 2 ounces of oxymetholone, it was the same as being caught with under to ounces of marijuana. How many milligrams must you have for it to be intent to sell, im to stupid to do any metric conversions. | ||

Powerlifter. Intent to sell really depends on a case-by-case basis. Packaging, and the amount of the product the "average" person uses all come in to play. I really think that this case is a very weak case of "intent to sell" and will more than likely be reduced to straight possession in court. If the cops had waited, then just raided his house and found say, 10 packages with different amounts of juice in them with peoples names on the packages, that would be a pretty good case of intent to sell. :-) | ||
