I like to use nolva at 10mgs per day even without gyno problems because I feel harder on it and hell of a lot less watery. I heard dandelion root works well for this also. Any word on the dandelion root?

Have never used Nolvadex due to that simple fact. I have read that it will hinder your gains, but is a good anti-estrogen... Its the double edged sword guys

There's a bit of conflict on this. I searched through the archives and found interesting comments supporting both sides. Maybe you just THINK it's a hindrance becasue your not as watery, therefore don't gain as much weight, but end up keeping more because there wasn't as much water.

Yeah, BrownDog is right. This is kind of a touchy subject. I personally think it would. Also, keep in mind, some of that water is actually useful for bulking, because of many factors in muscle metabolism. If you were doing a cutting cycle, nolvadex would be a great idea, especially if test is in it, otherwise, I never touch the stuff.

I have noticed! I am on 40mg dbol, 750mg sust, 400 mg deca, and I started to get really puffy(nips) aroud the fourth week. I took it and it seemed to help but my gains were noticeably slowed. So much that I stopped taking it. [This message has been edited by vdevil (edited January 14, 2001).]

I've noticed that arimidex has limited my gains this cycle. Whether it is real gains or only water gains is impossible to tell.

Ive not had to use it but keep it with me. Water retention in itself can aid quite a bit in over all lbm gains, after all where do you think a percentage of your strength gains come from? More strength = heavier weight = more resistance = more muscle growth.

N has definetely slowed some of my gains while taking it, however, I do appreciate the lose of bloat that seems to tell the world my business. ------------------

I have used 10mg of nolva ed on my short cycles and don't feel it hinders growth at all. It may reduce water weight but you will lose it anyway. I bet if you do the same cycle twice. You will gain more with nolva but you will also lose more. In the end it's about the same. Keep in mind by not letting estrogen bind to the receptors you are not only keeping water down but fat down as well. ------------------

I would like to say BIZ but the question is, if Nolva wasn't used would you have gained more. Unless you run 2 identical cycles side by side and on the same person it is very difficult to tell. peace ------------------

That has always been my theory- i take enough AS under my gyno threshhold. and i believe i get good gains cheaper and with less sides

the nolva should always be on hand and used as needed but i dont like to do it ed it does hinder the results. ------------------

Does anyone have an idea of the % of hinderance one may have? I've found myself to be extremely prone to gyno and need nolva throughout to prevent. Should I up the dose to account for the hinderance or would that not make any difference. Roobie

The mind is a very powerful tool. One thing is for sure, if you think it will hinder gains, it surely will. I started to get gyno, but had to wait two weeks to get nolva. Because I didn't have, I stopped cycle cold. Still made gains with out more Primoteston, and added nolva two weeks later and still made gains. I am glad I didn't know it was suppost to hinger gains.

I never have understood this theory. I constantly hear people suggest that the suppression of estrogen "nolvadex usage" will inhibit gains...where is the data? I believe it is all to do with lower water retention. Think about it.....If you need Nolvadex in the first place its due to highly androgenic gear use. These types of gear a know for their extreme strength and size gains due to fluid retention that always "appears to be" muscle. Most people have no understanding of the amount of real muscle they have gained in a cycle as they walk around boasting their 20lb gain in one month..."Mr. Water Baloon 2000". I truly believe the amount of fluid reduction by nolvadex "ONLY APPEARS" to inhibit gains but only in the amount of water weight gain not true lean muscle inhibition. |
