Hello everyone, this is my first post, ive been coming to the board for a long time now and i thought it was time to register.

Anyway i thought i would ask you guys about creatine dosage, ive used it before with good results at 25g a day for 5 days, then 5g a day for a couple of months. Do you guys take more than this and get better results? It would be interesting to know your thoughts on this.

By the way i know this really belongs to the supplement board, but no one seems to answer anything on there, and ive done a search but cant seem to find anything on this.

honestly bro, as far as creatine is concerned, Ive gotten my best results from 25g of phosphagen a day for a week and then sticking with like 10g a day for a couple months. I dont care what anyone says about vanadyl either, it helps my gains while im on creatine.

WELL...CONSIDERING EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD USES ONLY CREATINE AND ANDRO YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE....I PREFER TO TAKE MY CREATINE WITH 40 DBOLS/WK, 1GRAM OF TEST/WK AND 300MG OF EQ/WK....I SIMPLY PUT "0" GRAMS OF CREATINE WITH SOME GRAPE JUICE AND MIX THAT SHIT UP REAL GOOD. IT'S LIKE I NEVER HAVE TO LOAD THE CREATINE....WEIRD,HUH?

Thanks, i might try 10g after loading then and see what happens, although some say loading is a waste of time and money what do you guys think? and i would be interested to know if some of you guys have taken more than say 10g with a difference in effect.

Thanks as well to NJ, i needed a laugh, i suppose im asking for flames posting for natural supplement info on an anabolics board, but i need some quick info.

PUMPMASTERFLEX....I am just fucking with you...I once upon a time tried to take creatine...but I got frustrated and found out about other supplements that actually worked. Believe it or not I just picked up some Metrx micronized creatine a few days ago since i have just ended my cycle...I dont think it will do much but hopefull keep strength up....Good Luck

E.....does that stand...could it be Ecstasy...gotta lov e "rolling" if it is...

I know you are NJ i didnt mean to sound pissed off or anything.
I must admit ive been very tempted to start juicing lately, since i dont seem to be getting anymore mass on that easily, maybe im just expecting too much out of my workouts. You see im still 19 and only about 185 pounds at 5,11. I think i might constuct a new workout plan and see what happens.

Seriously...dont do anything you will reget just because you are not making games...do all your research and then make an educated decision....creatine does work a little...it is all about your diet..self control and workouts...hust dont overtrain....

I use creatine when off gear. I think the doses depend on how much you weigh. I do just fine with a daily dose of 10mg..anymore and I think your just wasting it. That is because when I do more I can tell my body is flushing it out when I'm sitten at the pot

Thanks for all the help guys, this board is fast movin', i think i'll stick to 10g a day then and see how i go on with that.

I just thought of something else though, do you think it actually makes any diffence what you mix it with, anytime i use it i just mix it with a glass of dillute orange jiuce, i know a lot of people are mixing it with grapefruit juice or a warm liquid, what do you guys think is the best way?

I do notice a better pump with grape juice. The warm juice thing is to keep the powder from sticking to the glass. I usually slam it with a glas of juice then fill a little with water a slam again to get it all...but this should really be posted on the supps board.

Yeah i know bonzo, i better make this the last post to close.

I have the same problem with the creatine sticking to the glass, although this new stuff dosnt seem to be as bad must be micronised or something. I might switch to grapejuice and see if i notice a difference.

There is more and more articles and research that say's loading is unnecessary. Use 5g. before and 10g. post workout. Use any type of carbohydrate drink with it unless it's effervescent.

liquid is creatinine a waste product. I don't give a fuck what studies anyone has read. creatine is not stable in liquid

powdered creatine (micronized) is the most efficient form and the best priced.

post workout up to 5 grams can be absorbed, no more. any other time of the day you'll piss out anything more than 2-3 grams.

Bastyr University is right across from my gym and I have interogated many med students. They do double-blind studies that are not funded by "muscletech" and give straight honest answers.

defenitely a waiste to load up for 5 days concocted by the companies so ya use more quicker!start at 10 grams for 3 days and maintain with 5 after workouts anymore is a waste!

CREATINE.. i htink you should stick with 10mg/day aftr your loading phase. DON'T forget to take it dextrose. now, if you have aces to glucophage, then take 500 mg/ with it and keep us posted how it turns out. i don't know your stat but if you are big guy, you might want to bump up the gluco to maybe 800. that's just my personal experince.

Thanks for the added info guys, seems their is a lot of mixed views here, i bet you get one helva pump using that creatine formula pre - workout, montecristo. Ive loaded so far for 2 days with 25g, dont know if i will continue for the full five days or not now. Im thinking of continuing taking with 10g of glutamine and creatine a day before and after workouts and carry on drinking 1 gallon of water per day to minimise water retention. It may sound like im taking this too seriously, but i just want to get the most out of my supplements.

I think the water retention thing is not really what you think. Yes it helps the muscles keep water in...70% of muscle is water, but it doesnt make you reatin it as if you were on a cycle giving you that bloated puffy look. Holding water from creatine is a good thing.

Thanks benzo, so why does everyone say 'take in at least a gallon of water a day while on creatine' I naturally thought that it was so you didnt hold a shit load of water and get bloated around the waste, which was what happened to me last time i was on creatine. But then again, i guess everyone reacts different to it.

Well I too get a little bloated in the gut when I first start the creatine, but it goes away. The thing about drinking the water is because you have a tendency to become dehydrated while taking the creatine. Since your muscles are holding most of the water you drink
