Guys: If money was no option, would you be on 'roids all year or would you still take 'off' periods? Either way, if money was no option, what drugs and amounts would you guys be on? Andy

The only way you could be on all year round is if you kept on taking different steroids, to hit different receptors. I myself think it would be very stupid because you would saturate your receptors and it would probably take a year to clean them up and you would loose alot of your gains. I stick to an 8 to 12 week cycle and take off the same amount of time I was on. Just take clomid at the end of your cycle and maybee even some HCG and you will keep most all of your gains untill your next cycle.

Ripped up, you think it would be stupid to stay on year round? I wonder if the pros feel this way! I doubt if Ron Coleman has been off more than a month in the past three years! Yeah, it probably isn't very healthy, but you'll never reseamble Dorian or Ron cycling AS. You have got to stay on them. -TG

I probably would if health wasn't a issue either.

After big comps I know that Shawn Ray doesn't lift at all for at least 6 weeks. I wonder if he goes completely clean during that period...

Jesus H Christ! I fucking hate this "clean the receptors" bullshit. I cant count how many times i've explained how this whole concept is complete ludicrousy. A god damn steroid bound to a receptor IS A GOOD THING! The Androgen receptor (note: SINGULAR.. You do not have multiple androgen receptors) is highly specific for it's substrate (ie the steroid). Steroids dont go into the body and undergo chemical modifications that make them bind to receptors but not activate DNA transcription. Likewise, androgen receptors dont undergo chemical changes either that make them bind to steroids but nothing happens.

Andy, Are you saying that receptors never downgrade? I was under the impression that after long term exposure, your body reduces the number of receptors (at least that's my very crude understanding of downgrading). Is this wrong? Sorry if I sound dumb - when it comes to how steroids interact with receptors, I am dumb. Anyway, any clarification would be great. thanks.

I'm always on. I rotate what I am on, but I am always on something. ------------------

I believe them to "upgrade" at higher doses. Anyways thats neither here now there. I have been on for about 6-7 months and plan to stay on in one form or another for another year or so. I cycle and bridge cycle and bridge. You guys can play the cycle on= time off routine I have done that, and 10 steps foward 5 steps back doesn't work with me and is frusterating. Monlth blood tests and doctor visits say that Im healthy as ever. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board)

IpW: I dont know about "down regulate" (god i would love to hear a LEGITAMENT molecular mechanism for this). But figure this. If you do infact grow in cell number (hyperplasia) as well as cell size (hypertrophy) then the new cells you grow will be identical to the cells they came from, and hence increasing cell numbers will also increase androgen receptors. Maybe not increase the # of receptors per cell but the total number of receptors in the body will increase. Andy

I too am always on, I wouldn't be able to survive with out them. I simply modify cycles, and products.

For you folks that are always on, do you take more than one drug or do you just change to something else when you feel the one drug you are using has lost its zeal?

I think youll find that just about everyone who is on all the time stacks multiple AAS. The one steroid thing is typically for beginers and i dont think a lot of novices start out saying they want to stay on for a year straight. I myself cycle these three stacks: BULKING-bigger cycles then onto the bridge: 1 product for a short period while I give my body a little rest while maintaning my mass and then CUTTING: usually less of a cycle (total mg's) than bulking but definetly more than bridging. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board)

I don't know about others, so I'll speak for my self. I stack 5 to 7 depending on what I want out of the cycles. I usually end up doing two heavy -mass builders- and one mild -cutting cycle- I always use different products for each cycle -mass builder- during that year. After the year is up then I go back to my original cycle and continue. It's cycle with a cycle, I guess. Works for me.

I like this thread. I am thinking of starting back up after 2 weeks of clomid treatment.
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 99 |
....although some "experts" say stay off for at least as long as you are on.
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 218 |
skip, if you're only coming off for two weeks, why bother, at all? Test cyp, test enanthate, sust, deca, primo -- these won't be out of your system for at least a month. Unless you're only doing extremely fast acting drugs, you're fooling yourself if you think 2 wks off is going to do anything.

I am always on something, not necessarily anabolics.

I'm curious if you guys are seeing a decreased sex drive or even impotence from constant use......what are the sides your getting ??? Are you all bald?
Freak Posts: 1758 |
LOL!!! No I am not bald, I have a normal sex drive, I feel great, look great, and there is no good reason to come off. ------------------
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 103 |
I too am not convinced 'coming off' is necessary. Especially for only 2-3 weeks. I wish someone could come up with a better explaination for coming off than the old "..to give the body a break.." Some of us need much more precision. Andy [This message has been edited by Andy13 (edited January 13, 2001).]

Man, I have been on something anabolic for I guess close to 10 years now. Always cycling, always gaining. Downgrading may or may not exist, but the way I look at it, I am bigger than most right now and I wouldn't give it up to "find out" if coming off would be beneficial or not. Just keep cycling drugs in and out of your Cycle of Life!!! hahahaha ------------------

10 years..wow. Are you as in perfect health like Slopain. Can you tell us some irreversible side effects if any.
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 201 |
Naahh lol, I too am not bald. Actualy my hair, if I let it grow out -I shave my head- is as thick as an elephant's turd. As for my sex drive I always sport a wood in times of need. My betterhalf doesn't complain, I wack off constantly....I'm the mad masterbator !!!!

i too have been on for almost a year and I constantly wake my girlfriend up in the middle of the night for sex. Andy

If you know your stuff,& mix the large doses with smaller dosed cycles, bridging, then yeah,i'm for all year round. ------------------

i think stay on for ever is not healthy at all. Remember that cancer induced by steroids is almost only for patients treated for years.
Elite Bodybuilder Posts: 686 |
I just started supplimenting last year some time. I've been on constantly for about 4 months now...before then I was off and on switching drugs only taking about 3-4 weeks between cycle (sometimes more, but barely enough time for the juice to get out of my system and get my hormones back to normal). I'm actually kinda nervous about taking a break now...altough I want to......but I like my sex drive and my gains too much....
Amateur Bodybuilder Posts: 99 |
Thinking of bridging w/ primo from heavy mass cycle. How much should I use to bridge. Have six weeks to bridge to next cycle(will be a lot of test).

If you keep most of your gains when you come off, using ancillaries, then why not come off?If what you lose coming off,is really not that big a deal,I don't see why you can't come off for a good amount of time(8-12 weeks). You will be better off and more mentally fresh when you do go back on.The biggest plus,is you have "PEACE OF MIND",knowing you can train hard without the use of JUICE for a good period of time. It's not nice to fuck with Mother Nature for too long, you just never know! It's all psychological anyway. ------------------ |
