If you are following a lo-carb diet where you are in ketosis pretty much all the time -does the timing of aerobic exercise matter that much???

I wouldn't think that the timing of aerobic exercise would be an issue for low carb dieters. The reason many people suggest doing cardio in the morning before breakfast is because blood sugar levels are low so your body will tend to breakdown either fat or muscle for its energy. However, when you are in ketosis, your blood sugar is constantly low, so the above wouldn't apply. When you do your cardio, however, I would stick to the low intensity, longer duration type because if it becomes too intense, your body will not be able to break down fat fast enough to supply the needed energy. In response, it will break down muscle proteins to provide the energy.

To be honest, I dont think it's significant when you do cardio no matter what diet you are on. I've seen guys get RIPPED doing cardio after their weight workout. Just have cut the post workout carbs down.
