my source told me to use mail boxes, etc. But are they open 24 hours? Also.. when you go there to pick up a package, do you go to your own personal box and get the package, or do you go to the counter and pick it up? Do you have to sign for packages using mail boxes, etc? I figured a P.O. box would be the safest way to go.. give me your opinions, im really nervous about this.

Due to the law, mail box etc. require the same info. and ID that the post office does, so either way will not matter.

do u actually walk up to your own personal box at mail boxes, etc? i've never been in one.. is it like the post office?

Yes it does matter because you go through two levels of inspection when you use Mailbox etc. round 1 by USPS (how do you think the package gets there in the first place?) Also MBE is notorious for making you sign for shit. ------------------

i like MB ect better than USPS PO Boxes. One big advantage is that you can accept UPS, Fedex, etc at MB, but not at a PO BOX. Your source would have to use USPS exclusively.

True, that could be an advantage -- if your source is domestic. If he's international you don't want him sending that way anyway -- higher seizure rate through those carriers. I still don't think the extra risk is worth it. ------------------

I like my mail box. I just don't like the feeling of going into a post office or anyother mail carrier's bulding thinking that everyone there knows whats up and they may all be part of a sting. That's just me...

Using a PO box is just asking for your possible arrest to become a federal case and a felony. Get it sent to your house, find out who the previous tenant/owner was and use his/her initials as the recipient. Remember, a felony means no voting, no federal aide for school/housing, not allowed in the military and not able to register a gun or get a concealed carry permit.

Well, that is the problem you see. I can't have anything sent to my house. I am 19 (almost 20) years old, and I live w/ my rents. I can't have gear shipped to my house.

***Just go USPS bro, you mentioned that it is closer to your house, no need to make a 25min trip when you can make a 2min trip, don't use express carriers, their packages are scrutinized much more closely, the USPS has millions of packages each day, not enough time to check all of them, usually over 1LB...If you have a good source, he will know what to do in terms of discreet packaging. Just don't make extremely large consistent orders and never sign for anything, regardless!!!-GH

quote: the laws concerning po boxes are the same as the laws concerning home addys. If you don't use a fake name, you have no problem (other than the obvious). For home "resident" for po box "boxholder" Oh, and using a previous owner's name is the same thing as using a fake name. Plus, some mail carriers won't deliver to your house if it's in another name. Now for a second of preaching -- you're 19 -- don't take roids!!!! I know you won't listen anyway, but had to say it on general principal. ------------------

Get it sent to your house, find out who the previous tenant/owner was and use his/her initials as the recipient. Not the greatest ideal... When the person living at your address moved he should have put in a change of address. Which means that mail can still have their name and old address but will still come to thier new address. Some people do this to scam credit cards and they never get a bill...
I really want to get my hand on a really good scanner. I had one a few years ago that was able to pick up fire/police/game wardens/airplanes all at the same time. The only bad thing is it was so good that it picked up radio waves from different towns. Now that I think about it I am going to buy another payday. Hell 200.00 ain't bad to be on the safe side...
