On the dieting board, they talked extensively about the total inaccuracy of most bf measuring system. Just choose one method...i think calipers are the cheapest...and stick to it. You just want a relative BF measurement. The actual level may vary based on many different factors.

Check out the Tanita bodyfat scale. Its accuracy is questionable, but then again so are calipers. For a relative measurement it is quick and as easy as stepping on a scale barefoot.

LOL
I got a pair of digital fat calipers for around $50 cdn. Don't know how accurate they are....I just give 3-5% upwards differance. If it's lower.......sweet.
besides if ain't accurate does it really matter. it still tells you wether your bf is going up or down. It can be a little tricky getting the hang of measuring the same spot though.

I tried the Tanita scale w/BF it was unreasonably off (10%).

I currently use calipers and get consistant readings that I believe are reasonable.

Consistency also comes with practice.

I purchased a pair of Fat Track digital calipers for $29.99 from DPS Nutrition, they work well.
