looks great though some small idea's.

1. No whey protein only whole foods. this makes a huge difference as you control all that goes in your mouth.

2. Watch the banana if you need potassium take tabs. This is hidden sugar

3. watch last meal with carbs. personally I am very carb sensitive and it makes a big difference on stage.

4. and I am jealous that I can't eat 1 # of meat. Mine was 6-8 oz but you have lots of weight on me.

Good luck, stay focused and if you get down e mail me or post. its hard to do and suppourt helps and you will find it here.

Great, i will cut the banana out, whey out, and i will watch how my body reacts to eating carbs before bedtime.
Thanks for your help man, i know that i will need more of your, and others support, as i go through this. My last diet, the original one you saw with the Special K, etc, is the diet i used in my first contest when i placed 2nd. Now that i have this diet, i am sure to do better than before!

Hey, one thing: do you do anything different the last 2 weeks or week before the show, as far as food intake goes? I know about the sodium depletion, keeping my water intake 2-3 gallons up until Thursday night, and Lasix.....yes, i have these babies on hand. So if you have any "last week" pointers, i would love to know them. Thanks man.

i also switch to distilled water on sunday before. i may be the only one but it helps. though steriods are not legal try to get some stenox and for alst 35 days take this. start at 4-5 pills per day first week than increase. will make ya hard. btan, tan, and more tan. use prep h on your body before tanning and watch how much water your soaking in when your done. thimoucase last month helps pull water out as well. backstage bring a heat lamp and plug it in and pass over your body. brings out cuts and veins. use hotstuff on your skin very lightly to heat your body

Ok i do swap over to distilled water the Sunday before.
Now, would taking Halotestin for the month before the show kill my liver? Remember, im taking IP's 50mg winny tabs, and 3 weeks before the show, im increasing the dosage to 100mg per day. If i just take liverite, milk thistle, epo, etc, i should be ok.

When you say use preporation H before tanning, you actually mean to put it all over your body before you tan? Do you only do this the week before the show or 2 weeks before? How many times do you tan per week?

What is thimoucase???

And what is HotStuff? Where can i get this?

****OH, i forgot to mention the type of tanning stuff i will be using. I have DreamTan right now, in the bronze color. I used that last time and it worked pretty well, but i think i put too much on. Should i just use JanTana, or Protan instead? What would you do? Thanks man, i know this is a lot of questions, but you are helping me out a ton!

most hardcore gyms will have hotstuff.
it will bring out the veins on your body, apply like oil. Has a unique smell. but not nasty.

how long till show? will you make it to middleweights?

Thanks BigJay. Yeah i know it takes a lot for a show, and i know i can get through it again, even though its not the most fun thing dieting!

This reminds me of something that Alabama's greatest football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant once said, and i quote:

"If you believe in yourself & have dedication & pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high - but so are the rewards." -Paul "Bear" Bryant

This is something very important to go by in any sport, especially bodybuilding.

Gymrat, the show is March 24th, and i will hope that i get down to make middleweight. I am not sure how my body will react when i start dieting. I am on Aratest/Deca/Winny/Clen/Eca right now, so i am not sure if i will gain anymore lean body mass or not. If i come in at 185, then ill just do light heavy.

thimoucase is sold in france as well as imported ehre. if you can't find it try www.optimumfitness.com as prince may have it on his suplement list. you can also get injectable in mexico (water and solution you mix together) to spot inject. again it pulls water out. use for last 1 month everyday if water is a problem. prep h rub all over body. this really does tighten the skin when used with tanning by pulling out water. similar acting to thimoucase. dream tan is all i use. put on 1 day before show ( have someone do this) and do one side at a time. Airdry and than turn and finish. now once on cover up and stay covered until weighin than cover up again. its messy so use dark old sweats and don't shower or shave. yes you won't feel so clean but the color is great under the lights. hot stuff should alos be available from prince or in a hardcore gym.

as for the stenox for 1 month it won';t mess up ya liver even with winny though it will increase enzymes. this gives ya a big edge with strength during diet. its ahrsh but works well. i had no problems untila fter my show when i drank more and ate more and all of my muscles filled upa nd my feet and hand killed me from water depletion. also shoes will be ahrd to put on for a day or two. have fun

Looks good bro, just watch the carbs before bedtime. See how your body responds to this diet. If you are still not as lean as you like, i would cut the carbs lower, but as i recall, you said you are lean so it probably won't be a problem. If it is, i would take in my carbs (oatmeal) for my first meal after my morning cardio and also after my weight workout, just sticking to vegetables like brocolli, spinach, cabbage, ect for the rest of my meals. Good luck. Get shredded.

Awesome Flexed. Thanks for that info. I will see if i can get ahold of the Thimoucase from that site you gave me.

Now, as far as putting the dream tan on the night before, i can do that. Weigh in is on Friday night, and the show is on Saturday morning. We can either weigh in on Friday night or Sat morning before the show. I would probably rather weigh in Friday night. So, basically you sleep in the dream tan, and just touch it up the morning of the show? And, what exactly do you change up as far as diet goes the week of the show? I didnt know if you did something different on friday or sat morning. Do you take Lasix or any type of diuretic? AND, last but not least, when you de-carb on Monday, do you go to "0" Carbs or what? Do you slowly carb up on Thursday night? Thanks.

Well, i guess other than that, im pretty much set.
Latona, i havent calculated all the Nutritional detail yet, but im working on it. And Shredder, i will definitly watch my carb intake.

I don't want to confuse you because I see that you've gotten a lot of useful information so far and when you get too much from different sources, it gets very confusing. I think the Thimoucase is great stuff. It's excellent to apply right before you get into the tanning bed. But I just don't like Dream Tan. I find that it doesn't get as deep into the skin as Jan Tan Competition tan does. A friend of mine was in a show and used Dream Tan for the first time. He's always used Jan Tana or Pro Tan and is always in pretty much the same condition each show he does. He found that there just wasn't the same hardness when he used Dream Tan. It also has some kind of very light glittery shit in it. I don't know but I don't like to use anything that can remotely take away from my hardness and stuff like Jan Tan definitely does not. Many guys use Dream Tan out of laziness (not directed toward anyone here) because it's application is very easy and really only requires one coat as opposed to up to 3 very carefully applied coats of Jan Tana or Pro Tan. Plus, Dream Tan comes off easy. It's up to you, as I said, I don't want to confuse you because you've got a wealth of info already and trust me I am not a promotor for Jan Tana products.

Oh, one more thing. I don't see anyone stressing asparagus as an integral part of your diet in any of these posts. You do know that asparagus is a natural diuretic and works wonders for getting rid of water.

Just my thoughts. Good luck, it will be a great experience once you are done.

I love dream tan but its not easy to put on the right way. It needs to be done by somebody and brushed on like you paint a house and takes a while. jan tan is also great so it become a personal pick. i will say the glitter as you call it and the color stand out on stage so much and so great. others in my class where puting this on for the night show as my color was the best in my class and under deep lights its needed. but anyway try them both now and deceide which is best for you. keep in mind i was tanning in beds for two months before the show ( don't wait so your not burnt as it ruins the body). i am also italian so naturally dark and with dream tan i looked great. by all means stay away fro pro tan and the ones who look bad are the ones that show up white at the weighin and than try to paint there bodies last minute. you train and diet your ass off don't wait last minute for anything. maybe put up a poll on here of favorite tanning product for a show that may help.

last week protein is still high and if i need fullness i may add more red meat in but no change portion size. carb decrease on monday and i never go no carbs but as low as 1 cup of rice the whole day and 1/2 cup oatmeal. monday i just wake up and start as it shuts ya down and don't expect to look great as you will go flat by wednesday.

thursday night a light late carb maybe 2 cups rice all day. friday keep protein high in chicken or turkey form and after weigh in more carbs. just dn't go crazy as your body will suck up all the carbs and if you take in to many will bloat. saturday morning I ate oatmeal, chicken for breakfast and backsatge apple sauce.

as for dieurectic i only use aldactone statrting on wednesday 2 a day. than as needed. be very careful if your close to contest shape don't suck everything out of you last minute. i have no experience with lasix as to me its to harsh.

one thing to keep in mind is you ahve some time experiment with carb depleting and loading and right down everyday how you feel or look. this si the most difficult part and i try to stay conservitive. if flat add more carbs slowly watch the mirror. and don't weigh yourself as long as your close to weight clas as it will depree you and on stage its who is in condition not what you weigh.

peace and thanks for reading this book

GQDiesel...Dream tan really had nothing to do with the look of hardness. Sure it doesn't absorb into the skin like other products but it does explain why in its package. It does come in 2 forms...bronze and a golden sheen look. You must determine which works with your body tone. Now don't get me wrong when I say I like dream tan. I also don't like it for several reasons...Its messy, doesn't wash off easy and smears easily.

yes it does not come off easy in the shower. took me two days to get it off. it does smear thats why you wear dark clothes and don't change. i've used them all this was the best for me but i think lends this to a very valid point and thats always use whats best for you. i also think asparagus is an excellent idea as opposed to broccoli to break up the pattern and help rid ya of water.

See, I do think that the tanners that go deep into the skin really do not seem to put a "coat" on you like Dream Tan does. Stuff like Jan Tana almost feels like it becomes your natural skin with no coat. I also like a very specific brand of oil (Andreas Cahling's Posing Oil) which you can apply for your own choice of sheen. Dream Tan has an oil blnded into it so it makes it kind of an all in one approach. Hey , if Dream Tan works for you, that's great. There's only one way to find out what best for you.

As you get closer, cut some of the complex carbs. You've got alot in there. Maybe take some MCT or flax seed and drink ALOT of water. 2-3 gallons.

GQ, asparagus will definitly be on my menu now that you have said this. I may swap both broccoli & asparagus until a couple weeks out, then stay with asparagus only.

DreamTan.....that seems to be a hot topic now. I dont know really. See, this is all i have ever used. So i really dont know if JanTan would work better or not. I know that i looked darker, and better on stage then anyone in my class. I placed 2nd under a black guy, and i looked as dark as he did. So i know that dreamtan works. The only thing i didnt like, was that i kept having to touch it up ALL the time. And it really was pretty easy to get off. So, im still not sure. I already have 2 tubs of it, so i may just use it. Dont know yet.

Flexed, thank you again for the diet info. I will print this out and try to go by what you have said. I may add a little so i can adjust the proper servings to my own frame. As for the LASIX....does anybody else have any pointers on when and how i should take them the last couple of days?

And, HOT STUFF I WILL GET!

One more thing.....Flexed, how do you do your water intake the last couple of days? Say, on Thursday do you keep it at 2-3 gallons, then on Friday, start cutting it out completely?

Flexed, the pic on my Signature )in the blue briefs) is not a pic from a show. It's actually about 2 - 3 weeks before one so I hadn't applied any tanning stuff on me in that pic. It's just my signature. I will post a pic from my last show in which i used Jan Tana and you can see how dark i was. You do look good though Flexed, as you already know

I'm glad you are taking me up on the asparagus. It works for sure. Just don't be alarmed when you start to wreak of it, this is normal especially when you pee.

Hey, Flexed, i didnt know if you caught where i was asking you about the water intake the Thursday, Friday, & Day of the show. How would you do this? I was going to probably drink 2-3 gallons up until thursday night, then maybe drink 1 quart friday, and 8 oz. sat morning before the show. I dont know.

It looks like a good variety, but I agree on cutting out the banan because of the sugar, and the cup of oatmeal for meal 7.

Also...Don't touch any kind of milk.
1. It's dairy, which some say makes you soft.
2. It's got sugar in it (lactose).

To expand on something that GQ said that was kind of understated make sure once you have your game plan you follow it. many people all who mean well will offer advise and in the end only one person is responsible and that you. i had folks telling me eat almonds, peanut butter, do this and i listened and did what I knew was my plan. It makes you very confused and when you start to diet its hard enough. as you also go through you you will appear small to yourself and always keep in mind your not small just have lower and lower bodyfat. on stage you will shine

Yeah, AJC, im definitly cutting the milk out totally for sure. Hey, hows the shirts coming along?

Flexed, thanks for that info man. I will make sure and do my water like that. I know that its tough, but i can do it. I have a good set mind that i want to win. Bodybuilding is definitly the hardest sport to keep up with. Conan, like Flexed said, its good information. I know everybody likes to eat, but when it comes down to it, competition is definitly total hell if compared to just bodybuilding. You either have it, or you dont. There are a ton of guys who are enormous, yet cannot cut down for a show for anything. I guess everybodys goals are different. I myself, want to compete and want to win. That is exactly what i plan on doing. Wish me luck!
