I want to get a subscription to a BB mag that is worth getting. What mag do you bros get or what one do you all recommend?(tired of mags with 300 pages and 200pgs are ads)I am so damn tired of seeing MuscleTech ads..lol- Are there any mags out there that center themselves around gear and the usage? Thanks in advance for any input. -8UP- [This message has been edited by 8UP (edited January 09, 2001).]

I have no problem with ads - I have subscriptions to several mags and don't mind ads at all, you can just flip by them. What I fricken can't stand at all and it pisses me off are ads that are barely noted as ads and made to look just like articles. And even worse are the articles that are "legit" in that someone from the magazine wrote it, but that person that wrote it stands to benefit from you following the advice in the article - examples are Patrick Arnold writing about Andro, anyone in Muscluar Development, and I'm not sure if it still is, but at one time MandF was always pushing another... all b/c either the writer had direct gains or the mag did if you bought the products mentioned. pisses me off. scientific american doesn't do this shit. Time doesn't do this shit. Rolling Stone, doesn't do this. Why the hell do all the muscle mags need to?

sorry - I shoudl clarify the Muscular Development - I ment to add anyone touting TwinLab stuff. TwinLab is actually in a lawsuit right now for lying about their profits to the sharehodlers - the stock has taking a beating and they have laid off a bunch of people... not a good sign. as a result they are pushing their product heavily. strange that most of the companies you see ads for these days are going out of business - one night on tv I saw (all in a row), an ad for Nissan, Priceline.com, and Royal Caribbean. All well known to be tanking (RC is always getting sued, that never helps).

Musclemag!!! They always have a swimsuit edition every other month and they have an AS section. Yeah, Muscletech pretty much has articles all over that rag but it's still good reading. ------------------

They all lie to you so why read them? I guess looking at the swimsuit specials are cool, but other than that you won't learn much.

I usually find a few things in each issue that are interesting to read. You gotta understand, I'm married, so the closest I get to my own porn stash is basically swim suit editions and of course the good old internet!! ------------------

IRONMAN by a long shot. They're the most serious, professional BB mag out there. They always have lots of good new routines to shock your muscles into growth. They don't peddle supplements really, mostly they push books and programs like the killer Positions-of-Flexion program...

well muscular development used to be my fav back when it was all natural - but I still get all of them now. I like ironman the best at this point. actually I like Wired the best... but it isn't so good for bodybuilding. have you guy's seen the new Chrysler that is a challenger for the Audi TT (I get a couple car mags too). damn cool car. hmm, I becoming expert at trailling off in my posts.

Flex, Muscle & Fitness, Musclemag. Flex is pretty hardcore, good info on nutrition, supplements, training. Muscle & Fitness is similar, with a little more stress on the fitness aspect. Musclemag is rather interesting since it has a steroid section in it.

M&F is good, they always have pretty good workout routines to try and good recipes

The only subscriction I get is Flex, and that is because I like to keep up with the 'poop'. Sometimes I buy others off the news stand.BTW Ironman crossed over to the bullshit side when they became affiliated with Muscle Linc and started pushing that whole line of crap. Before that they were cool. And Mike Menzer is full of shit.hehehehe [This message has been edited by anabolic24/7 (edited January 09, 2001).]

Musclemag for its beautiful women, and Flex for its articles. OH.....you guys know the low budget "Exercise" magazines? The ones where some guys are swimming with each other, they workout in their damn underwear with their package all smashed for all to see, and they weigh like, 150? lol.......i have to laugh everytime i see one. ------------------

Milo and Powerlifting Usa are cool. I think Ironman has the best articles in it. I learn the most from them and of course the boards.

Muscle Media is the only magazine that promotes the most cutting edge science on supplements and traing and nutrition. Hands down, it is by far the best.
