Well, I have made my way through 2 interviews and passed them for a good paying job.. now it's onto a polygraph. I have been given a form I have to fill out with a series of questions..And one of them is - Have you ever bought or sold any pharmecueticals with out a perscription?Um..well.. I can see the poly machine fricking going haywire when I answer that question.Any suggestions on how to beat this damn thing? I need this job = $$$ = gear ..lol. Any input would be appreciated -8UP-     | ||

8up, I'm really sorry to tell you this, but I think you are screwed. I assume you are applying for a position as a pharmaceutical sales rep, or something in that industry. I have a friend that works for Merke. They are VERY anal about security, background checks, drug tests, etc. If you don't beat that poly, you will not be hired. I have a suggestion for you. Tell the truth. When asked the question "have you ever bought....." just answer yes. Say nothing more. Then if asked to elaborate, just say you mailorderd some antibiotics or some other harmless drug. You'll probably be soooo nervous during the initial question, they won't be able to tell if you lied about the follow-up. Remember, Polygraphs are very subjective. Do your best. | ||

if you make yourself believe you havent...that is was a gift from yourself then you are not lying to yourself so you will be good to go hehe or just put tacks under your toes and step on them everytime you anwer a question true of false (it was in a movie) ------------------ | ||

Don't worry about it...just lie and it'll be okay. Employers know polygraphy aren't 100% accurate, that's why they aren't admissable in court. My best childhood friend was a massive drug addict back in high school. We smoked pounds of pot everyday before school, crank, acid...he did it all. After highschool...he joined the military and obtained clear high-level security clearance's...took all sorts of polygraphs. Today he works for the NSA. At our reunion I asked him how he got such clearances...he said, just never admit the truth. In life, people who make it to the top are those willing to lie the best under pressure. Afterall, look at Clinton. | ||

To the best of my knowledge, 90% of the questions are yes/no questions. Just give as little info as possible...and do not give any ancillary information...just a simple yes/no, as if you are on trial...which you basically are. | ||

It sounds kinda funny, but someone above me said to put a tack in your shoe, and step on it when asked a question. THat can really work, or ICY HOT under your arm-pits. THe theory behind that is something like this. When asked a question, and the answer is going to honestly be 'YES', then you step on the tack. That will cause your blood pressure or something to rise, and after a few questions like that, the person operating the machine will have no choice but to say that the machine is being inaccurate. THere are all kinds of info. on the net about passing these tests. A friend of mine worked for a company, in sales, and alot of the employess had to take a lie-detector, and one of his questions were "Have you stolen anything from this compan?'. HIs answer was 'no', and he flunked the test, and got fired. He swears up and down that he was telling the truth. | ||

8up don't put a tack in your shoe or any of that shit, it doesn't work. Download "How to sting the polygraph" of the internet. Do a search I cannot remember the site or guys name. It costs $40.00, but it worth it. IT WORKS! You have to control your breathing and bloodpressure. You have to know the diference between control questions and relevant questions. | ||

hehe and dont forget to squeeze your anal sphincter (no joke!). its extremely easy to fool the polygraph using his method. the guy selling the info is a reformed polygrapher so he knows his shit. man ive heard that if u get a pin or something sharp and put it under your big toe that it will help keep the nerves down or something. ive just heard thats how some people beat those things. ------------------ | ||

ok, here is the thing with polygraphs, they don't say whether or not you lie, the measure sweat rate, heart beats, etc...that is why they are nto admisable in courrs of law... when ever asked to take a polygraph I have always bought this up, and given fact to back it up..however if you have to take it, just stay calm and relaxed, as long as you don't get excited you should be fine... big-guy | ||

Maybe you should drug yourself. Valium, Dizapam, Xanax all might screw up the test? |
