What kind of gains can be expected from a Deca Durabolin cycle, 8 weeks long, that consists of 200-200-400-400-400-400-200-200? Keep in mind this is my first cycle and I am 5'9" 175lbs. Thanks. | ||

As others may disagree, I would not just run a deca only cycle the first time out. On the other hand if your going to I would not pyramid the dosages like you posted above. Start heavy at 400mg, and hold that until the last 1-2 weeks, then taper it to 200mg. If I may also suggest I would study the effects of deca conversion to progesterone and the side effets from that, so you dont start typing up theads wondering why nolva isnt getting rid of your tits, and your willy isnt working. What are the effects of Deca conversion to progesterone? I thought this was a virtually side effect free steroid? Should I just get some D-bol and some ripped fuel or something? I'd like to be about 190 RIPPED as fast as possible. I don't desire to look like a body builder, it's too much to maintain. I just have an ideal self-image I'd like to reach. Basically, I just want to look good. Thanks for your help. | ||

A deca-only cycle will net you 5 lbs of muscle, at best, after bulking and cutting is complete. Everyone I have ever met has never done too well using this regimine and has always been disappointed. Personally, as far as bodybuilding/powerlifting is concerned, I feel that deca does not produce an effect significant enough to warrant its use in any application other than joint lubrication or injury therapy. But that is just my opinion. | ||

First i would say you need to do a little more research and think about it for a minute....If you are trying to gain 15lbs and keep them and be ripped you are aking for alot! DBOL will give you invredible gains and strength but you will most likely lose most of the gains....in my opinion you Will not gain 15lbs of ripped muscle on Deca...You will have to do Test and still 15lb of solid muscle is great and you will have to eat, train and sleep...There is alot more than just sticking a needle in your ass and watching the muscle grow.....

So far, it's been 11 days on. 3 more days till number 3. 5 to go after that. The first 2 were 200mg Norma Hellas, and for the 400 I will likely use the Norandren 200(Brovel), so I don't have to give myself 2 shots. My weight is still the same pretty much, but I have gained 3 pounds and began to lose some body fat. My face has leaned up some already. I cut back on some cardio for now, I only run about 5-10 mins a day. I feel like superman all of a sudden, and my strength is increased about 10 pounds on every exercise. I don't know if all this is coincidence or not. All it would take really to make me cut is about 5 pounds of fat loss on my stomach, to show my abs. I wigged out the whole first week from all the increased energy, and I really wigged out when I read that Deca can cause blood clots. I thought this was the "safe" one of the bunch. If I don't get some great results after with my 400mg shot, I will likely discontinue. I take 2-4 aspirin a day to keep my blood from thickening, and I have some Clomid for the post-cycle. I only have 8 pills though. Any advice on this? How does clomid make you feel? By the way I had a shoulder and a wrist sprain when I started, and now they're gone. My body is totally without pain for the first time in about a year. Note I am only 21, and barely 21 at that. Should I go higher with the dosages, maybe 600 on the week 4 and 5? I want to get the most of this, and I will have some left over for sure, and I'll likely put it up safely in case I ever hurt myself again. This stuff appears to be fast acting in the healing dept. By the way, I can't sleep worth a crap most of the time, and it seems like I have to totally exhaust myself to get any sleep. When I start to go without sleep, I get really nervous and paraniod. I guess that's the first cycle newbie syndrome eh? | ||

Also, my muscles feel rock hard already, and no sign of acne. I'm as clear as a 2 year old. : ) Confidence is high, and my complexion has actually already improved in that I have a more healthy glow to my skin. This stuff is for sure healing my old injuries and making me look healthier, but dammit I want some more weight, cut weight at that. Thanks for the help. | ||

I wouldn't waste your first cycle by using it to strip fat. Cut out the cardio and start eating! Don't pay attention to people who say you won't gain much with this or that. Everyone's body is different. I gained 8kgs on a 12 week cycle of deca using about one sixth the doses you are using. Listening to the guys on here I would have thought that such low doses would have had no effect had I not had the prior experience of knowing that they did. I did my first ever cycle, using deca, under the guidance of a sports medicine doctor. He told me that because my receptors were totally fresh only a small dose of steroids were necessary to get a dramatic result. My total cycle was only about 1000mgs of Deca so it seems he was right. But like I said everyone's body is different. Maybe I just have very sensitive receptors. I think for you that if you want to get any gains you need to EAT. There is plenty of opportunity to strip fat later. Use your first cycle for growth because you'll never get such good results again. btw, if I was running an 8 week cycle in the dose range you are using I would stack it like this: week 1: 200mg If you don't have much clomid and don't have access to any more then buy some tribulus to use post-cycle to help with restarting your natural testosterone production. I suggest you start using an anti-estrogen like chrysin now if you don't have access to scheduled stuff. You don't seem to have any anti-catabolics for the end of your cycle. Try using ephedrine (but make sure to increase calories to compensate for calorie burning effects of eph). Also take some DHEA as this is a cortisol antagonist. I assume this would be effective but I am not sure about the science on this. I am sure someone around here would know. These are all things you can buy OTC if you are in the USA Don't be tempted to go on a diet straight after you finish your cycle. Let your body adjust to its new muscle mass first otherwise you'll just end up dieting your muscles away. Good luck! | ||

p.s. deca is one of the safest steroids you can use so stop worrying and get some sleep. Don't get too hooked up on the worst case scenario stories that we are constantly fed. Deca is an excellent steroid. Although I am sure your doctor would disapprove of your steroid use he'd no doubt approve of your choice of steroid. Happy growing! | ||

What is a good example of a diet for me? I want maximum gains but I don't want to have to diet so hard I lose my muscle. I always heard Deca puts on mostly lean mass and minimal water retention, which is another reason I picked it. I have problems retaining water when my hormones get a little messed up. I had to take some corticosteroids(bad word) for 5 days one time for tendonitis and it took about 3 months to get the water off. It sucked BAD. My forearm is back in commission so no worries there. Androstenedione did about the same thing to me. It's definitely wortless, for me anyway. But back to my question......how many calories and how much protein? Remember I weight 178 now, and I'd like to reach 190, so I can at least maybe retain a 185 cut. Thanks again! | ||

hmmmm, i always though Deca was bad for water retention. Anyway. I suggest you wait at least 6 weeks after you finish your deca cycle before dieting. The key to a successful diet I think is counting calories. Don't cut back too drastically. Slow and steady will get the best results. If you want to get your b/f right down you'll need to count calories otherwise you will just end up eating the calories you exercise off after a while because your body will fight back. At no stage lose more than 1% of your bodyweight in a week. If you do this then you won't lose heaps of muscle and your body won't rebound badly. Best of luck! |
