It has been rumored that metabolism is permanatly raised a little after. I dont know how or why this is. It works by increasing thermogenesis, raising body temp, not increasing thyroid output, so i dont know why that would be. anyone else know more than i?  | ||

This is a guess but since DNP is lipid soluble it may hang around lipid bilayers in cells. This includes the cell membrane as well as inner mitochondria matirx. Andy | ||

andy: are you saying there is something to DNP permanently raising metobolism? if so, to what degree? | ||

Andy is correct about DNP's solubility in fat but DNP will not permanantly raise your metabolism. This is a stupid rumor that was started by a nameless moron. You will see side effects of DNP for a week or two or possibly more after your cycle depending on how much you took and how fat you are. During this time DNP is still in your system so your metabolism should theoretically still be elevated. If DNP permanantly raised your metabolism then I would have to seek treatment for a wasting disorder. However, after many DNP cycles my metabolism is still lagging just like it always has. It would be pretty cool to permanently boost my metabolism but that is not possible, at least not with DNP. giantset | ||

Thanks everyone for the replies- Just a quick note that may interest everyone- but I just got back from my girlfriends house and watched a movie- after the movie we turned on the lights and I had sweated super hard- she said it was grosse and I need to see a doctor, cause last night at dinner I did the same thing too. Got love the side effects!  | ||

Sure is soluble in fat. My doc thought i nad jaundice cuz the DNP colored the whites of my eyes yellow! I calmy told him he was WRONG! It felt good. [This message has been edited by bigrand (edited January 07, 2001).] | ||

This rumour started by some guy on anabolex or where it was, has no holds in reality. There is no scientific reasoning to my knowledge that prooves this. I've done quite a lot of DNP cycles, and just as giantset, my stinky pesky metabolism - is where it's allways been, in the cellar. Mike H / VIKING OF THE NORTH. ------------------ |
