Many people use growth hormone for a long period of time. Is it expensive because of the demand and its properties or is it because it genuinely costs alot to produce? ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

hGH would cost VERY little to produce, if it was produced in large wuantities. It is manufactured by the same process as insulin, using bacteri to perform RNA replication. Insulin costing maybe only $7 to produce 1,000cc's, you can see where the idea of supply versus demand commands a high price for hGH. Another reason is that insurance companies for the most part pay for hGH, so the manufacturer and jack the price WAYYYYY up. --==MeanOne==-- ------------------ Owner of "The Anabolic Clinic" UPDATED: 01/02/01 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

HGH and insulin cost almost exactly the same to produce. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Perfect rep, there is only one small flaw with that idea. The major companies who produce GH do not produce it in nearly the quantities of insulin. This means higher sterilization costs per IU, and higher harvest costs per IU. I beleive it does actually cost the companies about twice to three times the cost of insulin to produce, which isn't very much at all. Let's put it this way, an individual cultivated some last year in my school...it cost him $4 per IU. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
