I remember reading an article where a bodybuilder claimed he was addicted to steroids cause he could never see himself as ever being big enough, in his mind he was small no matter how big he would get. I know alot of bro's on this board who put their stats up and are huge, and younger guys who are strivin to be huge. Are you guys ever happy with what you see, or do you always see the little man. I think I am in the same boat as this guy cause I always see the little man myself thats what motivates me.

As far as im concerned you can never be big enough,NEVER!! Of course alot of guys feel addicted.Even though steroids are not physically addictive. I am at a solid 250 & I am still not satisfied with my size. There are pleny of MOFO's that are way bigger than me. ------------------ BROS BEFORE HO'S

Yeah I agree with the mental part. I just can't see Yates or Haney looking in the mirror and saying "Damn I'm small".

I'm fighting two demons here. I used to be a fat ass. That's how I got into training which later lead to bodybuilding. So one demon will always see that fat ass and it scares him. Then the other demon further analyzes the situation and sees an unmuscular physique. This one wants to get bigger...to be massive. The other one is afraid of weight gain and wants to get smaller and leaner. I've learned to deal with it but it will never go away and that sucks. I rely on others opinions since I don't count mine being that they conflict. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Beezers (edited January 06, 2001).]

I look at pictures of myself sometimes and think Damn I'm pretty big! But sometimes I go to the gym and see someone that's double my size and I feel pathetic.

What your refering to is Bigorexia(yes its a real word). And its exactly what you said you perceive yourself as always small. It falls under body dysphormic disorder. it cant get to the point where some men will refuse to wear anything but baggy pants and long sleeve shirts even in the hot summer heat.To conceal themselves so no one will see how small they are. They also refuse to go out in public sometimes out of fear of being too small. It is treatable. The most common method is phsyco therapy and anti depressents. ------------------ |
