the other day my roomate accidentally erased about 6 files that i really needed for school. i checked the recycle bin and they were gone. am i fucked? i heard that there is some way to restore files from your hard drive or sumpin. any of you computer gurus know what i can do?

I think Norton (Symantic) makes an undelete tool on one of their Utilities disk.

not unless you have like norton or mcaffee installed that stores you files for longer time after you delete them

i think i am. i was trying thoe ZDnet things but everytime i tried to download it wouldn't work. it would dowload but it would show up in my notebook on my desktop.
