Does anyone know what SYNTHOL actually is? First of all, I do not have any desire what-so-ever to use this. I just figured though that this SYNTHOL oil is so sort of basic oil that anyone could probably get, therefore saving yourself hundreds of dollars. Like I said, I'm just curious, though. | ||

Lets give you a small backround on "SYNTHOL," type products. It is more or less an MCT oil, sterilized, that one might inject into a certain msucle belly to cause the bloating of it. (Much like putting a jack under a car, and pumping the car up.) What is not often discussed is the change in the formula over the past 12 years. There were SEVERAL synthol type products avaliable which actually contained active anabolic steriod compounds in them, so they served a double purpose. They also contained a pain killing agent which has now all but disappeared from the medical field. Current formulations are simply sterilized MCT oils, with added compounds which possibly might trap the oils in the muscle cell longer, creating a longer lasting size increase. The typical time for the muscle to stay bloated is between 3-5 days. Then the oil starts to disperse, and the muscle can appear lumpy. Must commonly start with 1cc injections in each bicep and tricep (which alone will cause extreme pain), eventually working up to 3-4cc's per muscle group. Any more than this I think is dangerous and far too much. I personally used a synthol type product from a good buddy of mine (he wants only like 1/2-1/3 of the normal price of the stuff), and had to inject lidocain into each muscle group 3-4 times a day, but it helped with the pain. It also made me look pretty weird. HUGE freakin' arms, way out of proportion. The major disadvantage of the product is that 80% of the gains go away. I put 4 inches on each arm in 6 weeks, kept about 3/4 of an inch afterwards. I'm not sure why I kept this size, but I did. --==MeanOne==-- ------------------ Owner of "The Anabolic Clinic" UPDATED: 01/02/01 |
