There was a study done on women who took potassium bicarbonate which prevented calcim excretion as a result of acidosis from a high protein diet. As an 'added bonus' this potasssium bicarbonate supplementation prevented muscle loss accociated with metabolic acidosis! Since I am on a low carb high protein diet I want to do this also. One way of doing this is by eating fruits and vegetables which provides this in a natural state. However, this defeats the purpose of low carb diets. So how can I get around this since I cant find pot. bicarb. anywhere. I wonder if any form of potassuim would work? I think it has to be the bicarbonate form from what I have read. Does anybody know? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
